It been a while since I joined in on Magpie Monday, but I’ve recently bought a couple of things that I would like to share with you.
First up is an eBay find, a crochet blanket, I’ve been looking for ages for one of these in my local charity shops but to no avail. So when I spotted this one for £10 including postage I just had to have it! I thought it was kinda Christmas looking, I love the colours!
I think it’s an absolute bargain for something handmade, the description said it was 1970’s I’m not so sure, but I don’t mind. What do you think?
Next up is a small jug I bought in a charity shop when I was on Holiday in Devon this year, I just loved the colours and pattern, and at 1.95 I couldn’t resist.
It hand painted Isle of Man pottery, according to the base, but I’ve not looked into it any further. It reminds me of a stormy sea, quite appropriate for some of the days we were down the beach this summer!
I’m on the look out for two other things, both that have broken this year. Ahem….Tall Dad!
A three-tier cake stand, I think I would like one made up from different vintage plates and a little bit quirky.
Also a covered sugar bowl, again I would like something a little different. This is my favourite modern one, so something like this but vintage please Magpie Fairy!
I have linked this post up to Me and my Shadow’s Magpie Monday link up.
Thank you for reading

Your blanket is great – perfect for snuggling under at Christmas watching a film.
I adore your jug. It is absolutely stunning. It does look like a stormy ocean, but you have to move it away from that photograph.
Nobody will look at it there, they’ll be transfixed by your beautiful girl instead.
Thanks for linking up x

Awh very kind. It’s Miss N when she was much younger at my sister-in-laws wedding. I’ll let you into a secret though, it doesn’t normally live there 😉

So glad you could join in this week. I know it’s hard to find enough time to search out good treasure.
I particularly like the crochet blanket – fab festive colours! And the jug is pretty too, but I agree with Liz’s view that it needs to be given its own spot to be fully appreciated.

You’re welcome to pop over to Beeston – there are some good pickings to be had in our local charity shops without having to take out a second mortgage 😉

I’m trying to stay away from eBay cos it’s way too dangerous 😉

Your jug is absolutely beautiful. The patterns are mesmeric – I could spend ages just looking at it.

Hi love, just catching up on the blog. I too have been a bit of a stranger to MM only because I just haven’t been finding really good stuff and I’m trying to restrict myself to buying only the items I really need/love!
I love your crochet blanket too, it’s a unusual pattern and lovely colours so i can see why you snaffled it xx
