CubbyKit: A Review

Over the weekend we tested out a CubbyKit.  It’s a new service, and the idea is you subscribe to having a box of craft goodies delivered to your door every month for £19.99.  I think what it actually delivers is a box full of ideas,  so you as a parent haven’t got to do all the research and buying of products. Each box has a theme, and is age appropriate. Either 3-4 or 5-6. and has three craft activities included. Continue reading “CubbyKit: A Review” »

I love Mondays….The One With Chintz

Every Monday I write a post that includes some of the things that we love at The Ana Mum Diary.  I’ve called it ‘I Love Mondays’ a kind of antithesis to the ‘I Don’t Like Mondays’ hit by the Boomtown Rats.  I plan on helping the Monday blues with beautiful things.  I will virtual shop for your every need. Perhaps introducing you to something that you may have not seen or been to before. You are in good hands!

Week #8 of the 366 Photography Project

As the weather has been so much nicer. I decided that I would concentrate more on nature, and also inanimate objects. It was great to experiment a little more with my camera.

It was all OK in the end.

49 Week #8 of the 366 Photography Project

Miss A was ill in the morning, and we had booked to go for a meal.  She had been so excited to go the day before, I was dreading disappointing her.  Amazingly, she picked up so quickly we were able to go. Continue reading “Week #8 of the 366 Photography Project” »

My First Glossy Box : A Review (February)

I know I’m late to the party on this one, but in the spirit of blogging things that my family or I love, here is my Glossy Box Review.

Firstly it was very easy to set up, and you can cancel at any time. I think this is unusual for something such as this, and definitely added to my confidence in setting up the subscription. It is a shame that even though they ask for details of your skin type etc. the box is not tailored to your individual skin and hair types.  I hope this is something that they look at soon, as I would imagine this would mean even more products become available to the company for us to sample.

Well it arrived today, and firstly I was impressed with the packaging. Beautifully tied up in ribbon and tissue paper. It really gives a good impression of what products are going to be in the box.DSCN2133 300x225 My First Glossy Box : A Review (February)

Organising My Coat Area

I am in full spring clean mode, I’m feeling inspired by a great post I read called The Decluttering Mantra, by Penny from The Alexander Residence.

You can read about my oven cleaning exploits HERE.

I have a coat area in the corner of my kitchen dining room, and its been driving me mad.  I think especially in winter, when we have lots of coats, hats and scarves then the area just gets really cluttered and untidy. Continue reading “Organising My Coat Area” »

Ovenu : A Review (Nottingham)

logo1 Ovenu : A Review (Nottingham)

I don’t know if spring is in the air, but I have been on a mission this last couple of weeks to organise and deep clean my house. My next job was the kitchen, so I have emptied and tidied all the cupboards, sent to charity anything we no longer use. Our coat rack is in one corner of the kitchen so I’ve reorganised that too.

Competition : Are You A Twitter Addict?

**This Competition is now CLOSED**

I am extremely excited to announce my second competition, that marks me moving over to a self hosted blog.

I really want this blog to represent things that my family and I love!  This is most definitely what I, and I know all of you L.O.V.E.

logo Competition : Are You A Twitter Addict?

Charis of Name Art, is a very talented lady. Her art work is so creative as her drawings cleverly hide words in them.  I have followed her work for around two years now. I remember with great pride seeing her artwork on X Factor, when Dannii Minogue was being interviewed or photographed.  In fact, that Christmas Miss N was lucky enough to own one of her NameArt pictures.

I Love Mondays….5 Minutes Peace!

This weeks post is slightly tongue in cheek, and not at all what I will be up to today.  I need to get my house back in order, after the chaos of the half term break.  I’ll be rushing around changing all the beds and have a least 5 loads of washing to do….but I can dream right?

I was given the idea by one of the lovely ladies from Stamptasticif you’ve not checked out this site, and you have children of any age you must! They make identifying belongs a whole lot easier.

I had asked on twitter….

‘what would you like me to include on my I Love Mondays post?’

Their reply was for me….

to blog about 5 minutes peace, now the children are back at school! ‘

Well, with this in mind I tried to imagine what I would like to do, if I had 5 minutes peace today. I very quickly imagined a scene, and then virtually shopped to try and recreate it for you.

Week #7 366 Photography Project

Well, it has been an even trickier week!  I’ve had a bit of a chat to myself, I needed to remember why I am doing this project. So I’m going to concentrate on doing this for my family as a record of the year.

I unbelievably forgot my memory card, so this is really the only photograph I got of our trip out, snapped on my phone. It is definitely creepy, however I liked the shadows on the ceiling and the way the hunting dog’s face has been illuminated…. Continue reading “Week #7 366 Photography Project” »
