I’ve just got back from the St Patrick’s celebrations in Nottingham. I had a fantastic time, and really wanted to share some of the photographs of our day.
We laughed and sang, we ate and drank. It was as every St Pat’s should be, a joining of people to celebrate and have fun.
The band was fantastic, it’s been a while since I heard such a good live Irish band, they adapted so well, to lots of different types of Irish tunes.
This is Damian, who played the Bodhran and Cajan Drum.
Strangers danced together.
A lovely meal was enjoyed….
and of course a tipple…
We then rejoined the fun…
Oh and here is Damien again. *cough*
Thank you for reading and a very Happy St Patrick’s Day to you all.

Great photos, wish I’d been there! Think you could have put in another few of the bodhrán player though – Damian was it? 😉 x

Only just found these pictures. They’re great. If you’re in Nottingham for the festival again this year, drop into City Gallery. As you’ll see on our website http://www.nottinghamisg.org.uk, we’ve got sessions for children and for adults.
Happy St Patrick’s Day.

Thank you so much for the comment. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it this year. I will definitely be there next year though!
