Jenny Craig : A Reality Check.
Last week was a week of ups and down. It was my daughter Miss A’s 3rd birthday last Monday. Thank goodness my Jenny Craig consultant rang me that day. Set me on the right track for the week, I really needed to step away from the party food! I think my focus had really slipped, and I needed to concentrate again. Thankfully that’s exactly what Cherry (My Jenny Craig consultant) did. We talked about my lack of drinking enough water and a simple but effective exercise of every time I make a drink for Miss A, I also have a glass of water. Keeping hydrated is really important with the plan, and its something I haven’t been concentrating on enough.
I also have seen a couple of photographs of me from the blogging conference Cybher. I wasn’t feeling my best whilst I was there, as I was feeling ill. But when I saw them, they were a reality check. I really do not feel happy about my appearance at the moment, I need to shift those extra pounds. I think I was shocked at how the extra weight has aged me. But, and this is what I am going to concentrate on this week. I am going to turn this around. I can lose this weight and I will feel healthier and therefore happier because of it.
So my weight loss this week is 2 lbs and I am really happy with this. My goal is another 2 lbs next week. I feel really confident I can do it.
Disclosure: I have been sent the Jenny Craig food to review. The thoughts and words in this post however are my own.

Well done on your 2lb loss hon – that’s really great! Although I think you look lovely just as you are and don’t need to lose any weight xxx

That’s really kind of you. I’m determined to sort it though, I was shocked when I saw myself!
I know this is what you are “supposed” to say and its not really a motivator but when you weigh yourself too often you can get annoyed by your progress, 2lbs is great but dont expect to do it every week! All the best with this!

Well done Amanda! Slow and steady weight loss is the best kind as it stays off then doesn’t it. Good luck and keep it up, you can do it!!

Amanda, Really happy to know that you have lost 2lbs. I also need to reduce, but the kids and work load is keeping me too much preoccupied. Though I am very religiously following the small work out refime that I have, but I know to reduce weight I need to do more..
I have personally felt that intake of water is really a must. Since the birth of my second child I have been drinking good amount of water, and it has a reflection on my face, the skin is glowing!
As far as ‘slipping of focus’ is concerned, it happens with everybody, I am sure you will get back on track

You are doing fantastically A, 2lb a week is a LOT! And any photos I’ve seen of you from Cybher I think you look just gorgeous and perfect in. But I know it’s important to get to the particular point you are happy with, which is why I’m doing this too. We can show off our new svelte selves at Britmums
