Its no wonder the Lanolips Golden Ointment has won awards, I have been testing out this product on three areas of extremely dry skin that I have, for the last two weeks. I am so impressed!
Priced at £17.99 available from Victoria Health and Waitrose
- It is 100% natural
- Very, very thick and rich formula
- No artificial colours and fragrance
- Animal cruelty free
- Has ultra pure medical grade lanolin
- Has three main natural ingredients
It is made from 65% ultra pure medical grade lanolin, so this is why it has an incredibly thick consistency. It holds up to 200% of its own weight in water!
2. Manuka Honey
There has been much talk about the Manuka honey being a natural antiseptic, with antibacterial properties. Amazingly Manuka Honey is said to promote tissue healing, make the inflammation go down, and is already being used to treat eczema and sunburn.
3. Vitamin E
I’m a big believer in the value of Vitamin E, it is an antioxidant and natural skin conditioner. It is also helps make the ointment easily absorbed.
I’ve used it to moisturise very 3 dry areas, my heels, elbows, and hands, in winter like lots of people I really suffer in these areas. It is amazing! You simply rub the thick ointment on to the skin (you don’t need very much) then let your skin absorb it. This only takes a couple of minutes. I do it last thing in the evening, and if I get chance in the morning too. It smells devine, but only faintly though, of honey, just gorgeous! It is not however to be used on lips, you should used Lanolips 101 Ointment, my review of that will be later in the week.
This feels like much more than an ordinary moisturiser it actually feels like it doing you good!
