I have tested out the facials at Origins in House of Fraser (at the Nottingham Branch) twice now, the first time, I had only recently been using Origins products you can read about my experience HERE. Last week I tested out the new Touch of Youth Facial, where they use a Mini Facial Tool.

Uplifting Facial Origins Facial Tool

“The new addition to the Origins Touch of Youth collection of protocols is a collection of movements to be carried out with the New Feel Good Mini Facial Tool. This tool will be used in conjunction with the new Plantscription Powerful lifting Cream. The tool has been designed to enhance the benefits and absorption of the product applied and when used with the Plantscription Powerful Lifting Cream, will help contour and sculpt the jaw/ jowl area, increase circulation and radiance, as well as helping smooth furrows between the brows and lift. It will also help reduce tension and fatigue around the eyes.”

My skin has improved significantly since I have been using Origins products, as now I use them for everything apart from cleansing.  I rave about Origins to everyone that I know, and on my blog as regular readers will know.  I was blown away by how great my skin felt after the facial, as quite honestly it was so smooth and soft to the touch even more so than when usual.  I look so refreshed.  I felt zoned out though, I think I chilled out so much to the sounds of waves and new age music that I had been put into an almost hypnotic state.

So why was there such a difference?  Well the new Touch of Youth Facial has been devised by the celebrity facialist Marie Reynolds, and using a Marie’s technique the facial is designed to target fine lines and wrinkles and boost circulation.  The special tool, you can see above felt slightly cold on my face, a pleasant feeling, and almost like a smooth shell.  The tool has been designed to enhance the benefits and absorption of the product applied and when used with the Plantscription Powerful Lifting Cream, will help contour and sculpt the jaw/ jowl area, increase circulation and radiance, as well as helping to smooth furrows between the brows. It will also help reduce tension and fatigue around the eyes.

The other difference was that Nichola my Origins expert used an Origins cleanser and toner (Plantscription Anti-ageing cleanser and treatment lotion), before moving on to the next part of my facial.  I am convinced this also made a difference.  I am trialling both of those products at the moment, so will give you my thought soon.  She also used the new Plantscription Power Lifting Cream, which I have also been trialling, and been really impressed with the results.

Plantscription Power Lifting Cream

So what in the Plantscription Power Lifting Cream?

  • Indian Commiphora: Resin from the bark of a plant native of India that helps plump skin to visibly restore lost volume and definition
  • Hyaluronic Acid Complex: Hydrates and plumps the skin
  • Centaurium: Helps restore youthful looking volume
  • Mango Seed Butter: Provides moisture, bringing smoothness to the skin
  • Squalane: Works to protect skin’s natural moisture barrier
  • Shea Butter: This emollient-rich ingredient nourishes, protects and comforts dry skin
  • Anogeissus: Helps to repair the appearance of lines, wrinkles and creases
  • Raspberry Plant Stem Cells: Inspired by the science of cellular plant cell regeneration

Plantscription™ Powerful lifting cream (£50 for 50mml) can be used daily as a day and/or night cream as the emollient-rich formula provides superior moisture in addition to lifting and re-contouring benefits.  Apply to the face in an upward motion, concentrating on the jaw line and cheek area for all lifting needs.

Judging by how smooth and plump my skin has felt on my face after two weeks of using the Power Lifting cream I definitely feel that it is working.  This is definitely a product that I would repurchase.

So if you are thinking about either trying out Origins, or fancy a treat for yourself or your Mum, then go visit a Origins counter.  There some great Mother’s Day gift sets available as well as the facials.  If you don’t live near one you can also buy them online at www.origins.co.uk
