I’m dreaming of a particularly stylish summer this year. I’m sure many of you will relate that sometimes its hard as a Mum, wife and working full-time, to sit back and take some me time, concentrate on any of your passions. Really think about them, strive for them and dream big. I feel that, that is what I am doing now. My hopes and aspirations for my blog have grown, and I am so lucky that what I love, is what I am writing about. Really lucky!
I’ve always loved make-up, clothes, I love trying new things in my home, writing about interiors and all things stylish. The Ana Mum Diary, has a real mix of styles, as regular readers will know. My style however, is one that’s classic a little eclectic, and like most people ever evolving.
I got asked recently to contribute for Sainsburys TU magazine’s style section. With the key piece of a pair of draped Tu khaki trousers, (a bargain at £18) I added some other Tu summer 2014 pieces to create a summer daytime look, whilst another style blogger (Kelly Morris from What She Said) created the evening look.
I love fun projects like this, getting to stretch my creative style muscles.
A couple of weeks ago, I was so shocked to find out The Ana Mum Diary was short-listed in the style category for the BIBs (Brilliance in Blogging Awards) and then last week, I received the amazing news I was a finalist! So I, along with 5 other finalists in the style category will have to wait until the BIBs awards at BritMums Live to find out who won. So exciting!
I wanted to take the opportunity to thank anyone who voted for The Ana Mum Diary. I was absolutely blown away to even make the shortlist, never mind the final. I don’t think I still can believe it. It all in the hands of the judges now, so good luck to all of the other finalists. Well and blow me, that means I get to buy a new outfit! 😉
