What does you dream bathroom look like?
My dream bathroom would be a simple, clean lines but with a vintage twist. When I wake up bleary eyed each morning, I have a couple of coffees to start the day and tentatively creep around trying not to wake anyone, whilst I get a little admin done in the peace and quiet before everyone else bangs and clatters around me. I’m lucky, that Tall Dad does the school run in the mornings, so once they girls and him are all packed off, from 8.20 the house is my own. I then grab that all important shower, the morning elixir of my routine.
So when I imagine my dream bathroom it would have a beautifully tiled walk in shower, with mismatched vintage tiles, I had collected on my travels. A huge shower head perhaps even two? The water would be instantly be the right temperature and water would cascade down, thanks to my shower pump from Mira. Space saving, built-in tiled recesses with all my showering lotions and potions. I would have remembered to have my dressing gown easy at hand for when I got out, and locked the bathroom door. The softest, thickest towels would be replenished magically, oh and if I’m allowed magic I’d go for a self-cleaning shower screen too!
I posed this question to some of my fellow blogging friends, who were happy to tell me what they would like in a dream bathroom.
Cat from Cat Yellow Days: I’m easily pleased, all I want is a separate walk-in shower and somewhere to shove all the kids toys so I can actually get into the bath. Oh, and a cleaner…
Alice from Life As Alice : A wet room would work wonders for Kyd’s medical stuff in our house… Self cleaning wet room would be better though.
Sarah from Boo Roo and Tigger Too : I’ve just renovated our family bathroom, I wanted that hotel feel at home. With the large tiles, clean lines and minimalist feel. Although I would love a larger bathroom so we could include a separate shower cubicle.
Liz from Me and My Shadow : Somewhere tranquil and relaxing and lots of ferns! A huge rainforest shower for a woodland, waterfall experience!
Mari Clean, sleek and functional. With those small tiles and black floor, a rainforest shower and glass doors, walk in with a drain in the middle I’ve been hankering after this bathroom for years.
The conversation then went on to whom would join them in the shower, but I’m sure you don’t want to know that bit.
The thing that struck me was the importance of a shower in all of those dream bathrooms, I think we are lusting after a luxurious walk in shower with a power shower!

Thank you for including my dream bathroom – whilst I love a long soak in the bath it is a shower that gets me ready for the day

Oh you can’t beat a fabulous shower first thing in the morning. I don’t like those that are directly over your head though. Or maybe I’m just too short!
