I’ve written a lot about how this year I have been making changes to my lifestyle, exercising more, and attempting to make changes to my diet. The diet part hasn’t been easy, and (I can’t believe I’m going to tell you this) but my weight has crept up over the last two years, slowly but even with the extra exercise I’m now a size 16. It might not seem big to some, and it is the national average I think for women. I just don’t feel comfortable with the way I look, the clothes I’m wearing (which is incredibly important to me) and the way I feel.
When I was looking through the photographs we had taken when we were on holiday I can see I’m hiding behind things and children (LOL) in every photograph. I don’t feel like myself anymore, thats something I need to change.
The next stage I am taking is something I tried 4 or 5 years ago, and its called Thinking Slimmer. Here’s a link to the website so you can find out more detail.
Its a simple clinically proven and medically approved way of loosing weight. I doesn’t actually involve a diet as such, though you can do it together with one. You actually listen to a ‘Slimpod’ which is an audio recording.
As you listen, a unique expertly-woven mix of cutting edge techniques in unconscious persuasion, behavioural science, neuroscience, modern psychology and NLP gives you the power to master weight loss, feel more alive and ooze confidence.
So between now and Christmas (I’m over one week in) I will be listening to these pods every evening before I sleep.
Thoughts so far :
I find listening to the Slimpod very relaxing, I have definitely seen small positive changes to my diet. Saying no to sweeter things (sometimes) has been one of them. I definitely have an addiction to sugar, so this may take a while to completely sort, but its definitely seems to be making a difference.
I’ve just counted up I have 9 weeks until Christmas, so I’m going to share with you then how I got on. I’m also going to share any recipes I try and love too, as I’m always looking to increase my healthy eating repertoire. Onwards!
