Some days, I struggle to walk down the stairs when I wake up, I have a foot condition called Plantar Fasciitis . I do it, but very slowly, taking each step carefully and painfully. Its something I don’t really mention on the blog, as most of the time I’m absolutely fine, but then it gets triggered and I unfortunately spend months with my feet hurting. I find it so frustrating, and above all annoying.
Stupidly (I now realise) I joined a running club a few weeks ago. It had been so long since I’d had a flare up, I thought I’d be fine. I’d forgotten to be honest how much it hurt to walk when I do get it. Two days after the run, I was ok, then the next morning wham, I got out of bed, and that familiar feeling was there. Don’t you just love crisps bright mornings, full of promise of the day ahead. Kicking leaves, collecting conkers, long dog walks with the family. I love this change of weather and autumn and winter, and I especially love the fashion that goes with it. So every autumn and winter there are always two things top of my wish list – a new coat, and boots.
I was invited to a fashion evening with Hotter Shoes, together with some other bloggers, to try out the new styles of the season. I’m already sold on the brand, and I’ve written about my love of the comfort concept that Hotter Shoes is known for before. As a treat from the gorgeous team at Next, last week, a group of bloggers were invited to spend the day and night at Champneys. It was a day of pampering, laughter, chatter and fun.
