I do love Mondays, I really do. Yes, the weekend is over but there is a whole new exciting week ahead of you. I honestly think you need to (try to) embrace it. Give yourself a shake and move forward. Who knows what the week will hold.
Each Monday I write a post, that includes some of the things that we love at The Ana Mum Diary. I am trying, to help get rid the Monday blues, with beautiful things. I will virtual shop for your every need. Perhaps introducing you to something that you may have not seen or been to before. You are in good hands, so sit back and grab yourself a cuppa.
I’ve had a really busy week, but I managed to nip into a couple of charity shops. One of my resolutions this year was to try not to discount the clothes, as I always make a path for the china!
Well, my local Oxfam came up trumps!
I found a fantastic, and looks brand spanking new, denim jacket from French connection. It’s a size 10, so I didn’t think it would fit me, so straight away thought that it would be great for Miss N. Even if it did not fit now, it wouldn’t be long before it would.
So here it is: Continue Reading
It been a while since I joined in on Magpie Monday, but I’ve recently bought a couple of things that I would like to share with you.
First up is an eBay find, a crochet blanket, I’ve been looking for ages for one of these in my local charity shops but to no avail. So when I spotted this one for £10 including postage I just had to have it! I thought it was kinda Christmas looking, I love the colours!
I think it’s an absolute bargain for something handmade, the description said it was 1970’s I’m not so sure, but I don’t mind. What do you think?
Next up is a small jug I bought in a charity shop when I was on Holiday in Devon this year, I just loved the colours and pattern, and at 1.95 I couldn’t resist.
It hand painted Isle of Man pottery, according to the base, but I’ve not looked into it any further. It reminds me of a stormy sea, quite appropriate for some of the days we were down the beach this summer!
I’m on the look out for two other things, both that have broken this year. Ahem….Tall Dad!
A three-tier cake stand, I think I would like one made up from different vintage plates and a little bit quirky.
Also a covered sugar bowl, again I would like something a little different. This is my favourite modern one, so something like this but vintage please Magpie Fairy!
I have linked this post up to Me and my Shadow’s Magpie Monday link up.

I have recently (I know, late to the party) discovered Lush. I took Miss N there, last weekend and treated her to Sunny Side, a bath bomb, that has glitter in it (an 8 year olds dream) We also bought her a shower block of soap The Godmother, but we didn’t really have anything to rest it on in between her showers. So this weekend, I wandered around my local charity shops with her, on the off-chance we found some thing she liked.
We found this sweet dish, hand painted in Portugal:
Not sure if the number on the back is the year it was painted? It was 99p nothing really for something handcrafted!
Here it is with the soap on it, she’s really delighted. Feeling so grown up trying different products. I love the way the soap looks like it has fossils in it.
I also bought (well I couldn’t resist it), another dish. It’s Jersey pottery, which I have a soft spot for since I visited with Tall Dad earlier this year, and fell in love with the Island.
It was £1.99, we use liquid soup in the bathroom, but thought it would be good to use for a guest soap, what do you think?
So that was my magpie monday finds. If, my fellow magpies you have enjoyed this post then please follow me on bloglovin or subscribe! Here is the link to where you can find more treasure
