Well this is my forth post in my New Years Resolution series. You can view the other posts HERE.
Things have been going really well throughout February, and in this post I wanted to share that not only am I feeling lighter, fitter and healthier, I have more importantly been keeping up my promises to myself. I’ve ridden my bike and increased my walking each day. When the weather has been bad, I’ve been using the WiFit. My aim was to do additional exercise three time a week, and I have kept to it. Though I must admit if I didn’t have the WiFit I really wouldn’t have been able to, its been a godsend in this awful weather.
The extra incentive has been the bike computer (funny name really for a gadget that measures distance and calories burned etc) mine is a RSP one.
The RSP 10 function wireless bike computer offers a variety of on-the-road measuring tools, such as: tripometer, odometer, current, maximum and average speed reader, 12/24 hour clock, trip time, calorie counter and a speed comparison tool.
I have been trying to beat the distance I did the last time I rode. This is one area I’ve not been so good at, as I’m afraid I’m a bit of a fair weather biker, and I’ve not bought any rain gear for the bike yet, so have had to head back. However, I’m so pleased with myself that I’m getting out there.
Last week I even went swimming, and that’s not something I’ve done for years. I didn’t manage many lengths, but there’s something quite liberating getting out there and making an effort at trying new things again.
My next post will include some of the smoothie and soup recipes I have been doing in my blender. I’ve got some really yummy ones to tempt you with!

Good for you Amanda – so glad you’re enjoying keeping fitter – I agree with you about the joy of just getting out there and thereby reclaiming more of ourselves! X
