I love winter when it is like this, dry and frosty in the morning, promise glittering in the day ahead. This is a lovely guest post, all about filling your home with winter scented candles this season.

Candles are one way to warm the room and complement the crisp winter air outside. Try lighting a spicy candle, with something like a cinnamon and apple fragrance. This scent will provide a warm and almost Christmassy feel, perfectly complementing the day outside.
You could go another way, however. You could make the crisp winter day outside feel like summer inside. As the low winter sun beams through the window and warms the room, light a candle that smells like fluffy towels, or clean cotton. This will instantly bring in the smell of summer back into your home, reminding you of fresh clothes drying on the washing line.
You could even chose a candle with the smell of your favourite alcoholic beverage, such as mulled wine for the wintery feel or an apple cider for a touch of late summer days in the countryside. Remind yourself of party nights spent with friends on cold winter days with candles that smell of Margarita cocktails and juices such as cranberry.
If you like a sweet smell then chose something that resembles baking and sweet treats to warm up your day. Try lighting a candle that has the scent of salted caramel, chocolate cake, vanilla cupcakes or gingerbread. This will warm the room, reminding you of baking and indulging in delicious treats.
Warm your home on winter days with scented candles. Your family and friends who stop by will be sure to compliment the aroma of your home and will no doubt be taken back to a time in their lives that the smell reminds them of, whether it is Christmas, winter days spent baking or balmy summer days.
