I thought this week, I’d have a go at a couple of small projects….the first was the gadget bag kit, that I received from the 1st Mollie Makes magazine. Now a bit of a collectors mag, I think after seeing that it sold for £18+ on Ebay – not bad for a cover price of £4.99.
It was simple to do, just cut out the templet in the magazine and then cut each of these parts out of the felt.
I could have followed the instructions and hand sewn all the pieces to look like this.
However I wanted to give my sewing machine another go. So here is the result
I used black thread so I could see exactly where I was going wrong!? Both Miss A and Miss N love it and they don’t seem to see the wonkyness.
I also wanted to make a few greeting cards.
I had already made a stash of gift tags with vintage buttons, stamps and reused ribbon, after seeing @MsMollylouise’s from a previous #handmadethursday here.
Whilst on my epic trek to find Mollie Makes I came across a magazine, which had lots of button ideas in it, including sewing them onto greetings cards. I think @missielizzieb over at Me and my shadow told me about it, as she knows how much I love buttons!
Well here are the results:
Thank you for reading. There are many other #handmadethursday over at the whitelilygreen

Well you know me and buttons…love them! I’m really inspired by this as I made a Mother’s day card with buttons but I love the gift tags too. I think tyhe wonkiness of your phone cosy is what makes it som cute and good on you for machining as that is really tricky to do small things. I haven’t even attempted mine yet – I’m still just oohing and cooing over the pages of my Mollie Makes!

YAY! thanks so much for the comment. Yes, I’m still pouring over them too! Loved the second one, as it had lots of vintage in too!
The button are relatively easy to sew on, the only tricky bit is keeping it neat. I’ll be making more of these 🙂
