Well this is my first Magpie Monday post since I started my blog, and I wanted to share with you a collection of vintage things that I won, and arrived over the weekend.
They are from the gorgeous My Vintage online store and here they are:
There was a scarf with the words ‘Riviera Adriatica’ with small printed scenes on it, such as Loreto and Bellaria on it. It’s really beautiful, I’ve never owned a vintage scarf before, so this will be much treasured.
A feather brooch, and 50’s cats eye sunglasses. A leather (i think 1980’s) handbag, a gorgeous teal colour, it is made in England, but no makers mark. Finally a Country Casuals Italian leather belt.
Here they are being worn, by my glamorous assistant (Miss N)
and finally an action shot, the morning sunshine made it quite difficult to capture but….
I love the effect in the end! Miss N and vintage style!
Please head over to My Vintage for other gorgeous vintage pieces, it has the most amazing collection, you can follow @emmabphilosophy too on twitter. Yesterday she was asking ladies to tell her your dress size, budget and style wish, and she would find you the perfect vintage piece…go on I dare you (she’s REALLY good at it!)
For other Magpie Monday finds please go to the Me and my shadow blog.
Thank you for reading this, please comment and subscribe if you enjoyed it.

Oooh didn’t you do well?!!
And hooray for your first Magpie Monday post :0)
With that scarf and sunnies I do hope you’re working on the old man to get a convertible so you can drive around with the top down a la Grace Kelly. x

On a beautiful day like today thats not such a bad idea!
Really pleased, as is Miss N, who now has the belt and the bag, to her growing wardrobe!

Good to see you joining in the Magpie Monday fun.
My only concern about this post is to see the Eighties stuff defined as vintage. Guess that means I am over the hill.
Lovely pics – thanks for sharing
My try is over at http:;//celebratingmums.wordpress.com

Hi mumsarcade, Yes, I’ve really enjoyed contributing from the start, but have only just started the blog, so was finally able to write a post about items, rather than send in a picture via twitter. Which has been so lovely, as I love magpie Monday, and you can’t do the treasure justice with 140 characters!
I understand your concerns re the vintage label, to 80’s fashion, as I am a child of the 70’s myself!
However I do think they come under this banner, as they are definately not antique, but extremelly gorgeous retro/vintage style!
Thank so much for the comment, I really appreciate it!

Hi and thanks for creating such a wonderful blog post about your prize!
I think I was most definitely in a green mood the day I put that little lot together! I may also be snaffling Miss N for a modelling career on the website!
It also pains me to see that eighties is vintage but alas, anything over 25 years old is classed as such! *Weeps into Global Hypercolour t-shirt*
I will be recommending your blog to all my blog readers! You’re a super star and I am so glad to see these bits go to a good home 🙂

Great to see your blog on the magpie Monday linky my dear and what a great post to get you started. I love Emma at My Vintage and you look like you had a great little stash of treasures from her. How cool are those shades? N models them wonderfully!

Thank you, yes it feels just perfect that I can actually write a little bit about my finds now.

Molly says
What a gorgeous lot of goodies and an even more gorgeous glamourous assistant who models them so well – channelling the Riviera style like a born star. Love the action shot, and the photos really cheered me up on what turned out to be a very dark, wet and frankly miserable Monday (despite my morning optimism). Big yays to the lovely Emma at My Vintage and supermodel Niamh xx

Big love to you Molly xx

Oh, the scarf is fabulous! And what a great match with Miss N’s dress, she’s really rocking the vintage look.
My finds this week were nowhere near as much fun. Ho hum, maybe next week.

Thank you, and yes thats the thing about the magpie finds…I’ve not had anything for ages, so this win was amazing!

i love that 80s bag! the 80s is one of my favourite eras for bags (so colouful!), and i know a lot of people question whether it is vintage or not, but would you believe that the 90s is now classed as vintage by a lot of people! i refuse to sell it on my website, maybe i’ll give it another 10 years or so! 😉

Ooh gorgeous things and your daughter looks lovely modelling them. I guess the one advantage of having boys is that they’re less likely to be raiding my wardrobe!
theanamumdiary says
This is very true….however I thought that about my shoes, until my 8 year put my new wedge wellies on declaring they fit! Aghh, is nothing sacred! LOL x

Love it! Thank you for sharing. I love vintage, and i love this mix up.
