I’ve had a really busy week, but I managed to nip into a couple of charity shops. One of my resolutions this year was to try not to discount the clothes, as I always make a path for the china!
Well, my local Oxfam came up trumps!
I found a fantastic, and looks brand spanking new, denim jacket from French connection. It’s a size 10, so I didn’t think it would fit me, so straight away thought that it would be great for Miss N. Even if it did not fit now, it wouldn’t be long before it would.
So here it is:
It cost me Β£5.99 and I have just checked the site, and an almost identical one is selling for Β£95, so I am delighted with the purchase. Miss N loves it, but declared it too big, so I’m afraid you have only me modelling it. Prepare yourself for some embarrassing photographs of me attempting to look cool and young….oh and skinny!
See what I mean?
Because she’s worth it?
Luckily you can’t see my roots on this one π
What happened to the tree?
So what have you been purchasing that has been pre-loved? What do you think of my thrifty find?
I am linking this post up to:

Thank you for reading
What a cool bargain!!! Looks like it fits you well in the photos! Even if it feels like a straight jacket lol.
Hehe, it does feel *ahem* a tad tight π
Love it when I find designer clothes bargains and you look fab in that Jacket ! Photos really made me smile x
Thanks for the comment Karen, I’m really chuffed with the Jacket, I am going to save it though for my eldest I think….I could barely breath π
What a fab jacket. got to love a bargain. No cake for you next time we go ut then!!! Like the new blog look too x
Thanks Becky! I’m thinking slimmer (as it were) so hoping I’ll lose some weight for my holiday.
Thank you, glad you like the new look blog, going selfhosted was scary but worth it!
I’ve been keeping a close eye on our local charity shops for leather jackets, although I’m not looking to wear them, I want the leather for making book covers and such like, I also have plans to use leather in some of my wood turning experiments.
Great find though, I have a grey jacket I got years ago for Β£7 from a charity shop, it’s great, old but still looks good, and it has to be said it’s well made compared to some clothes you buy these days.
The illusive leather Jacket hey? I had a fab one froma charity shop, I bought it many many years ago. I could kick myself but the last time I moved, I gave it back to charity. It was so nice. I suppose someone else loves it now. Good luck with the hunt.
I know a lady who buys them to make mini leather satchels π
I was going to say “Me, me hands up, I’m a 10” but then you look fab in it.
They’re not embarrassing photos at all, you look hawt! ;0)
It must be a very big 10 tbh to fit me! Thank you, not sure about the hawt lol π
Good buy and great photos π
Thanks π
@needaphone I can see you strutting your stuff on the catwalk. What a bargain I am so coming shopping with you.
Not sure which catwalk π

Awh you are kind π
It looks great on you – I’d hang onto it!
Great idea π
Fab find and looks amazing on you, why can’t I ever find nice clothes in the chazza shops in my area waaaaah! x
I think it was a fluke for me π
Good for you, good bargain, and good modelling!!
Thank you :))
Great bargain! I found a fab pair of Farhi (yes Farhi!) jeans last week for Β£3.50.
Bought them, got them home, and…. too small! WAIL! I’m going to hold onto them because I have a plan to lose some weight.
I’m sure you can still get Fahri, and they are quite expensive now…I’m sure I’ve seen them recently, great find! Me too, I’m on a thinking slimmer mission π
I’m envious that you fit into a size 10. Bargain too!
Honest it must be REALLY big 10 π
Love the denim jacket, that’s so stylish! You’re v photogenic you know, lovely pics. :O)
hehe, thanks Kay, I really hate having my photograph taken, but I needed to take the plundge!
