I can’t quite believe some of the reviews I have to do. It’s really hard to have chocolate, Hotel Chocolat chocolate no less, delivered to me for my perusal….honest!
So what did I think?
Firstly, I love the packaging, it comes in a cylinder shaped box that you can see above, it opens like a hat box. It’s really sturdy, and could be used again should you want to keep a hidden stash of chocolate in. 😉
Inside the box is a menu, which is a really lovely touch.
Is a very thick 40% chocolate. Its one of the extra thick range of eggs. Here is what they say in their own words.
When we first started making eggs 12 years ago, we were advised by industry experts to use the least amount of chocolate by making them as thin as possible and to arrange the chocolates around the outside of the egg to make it look as big as possible. We did the opposite and made ridiculously thick shells with all of the chocolates hidden inside for extra Easter excitement.
Delicious chocolate, just as I have come to expect from Hotel Chocolate. Each side is individually wrapped in gold foil. It actually a bit of shock when you feel the weight of it, VERY heavy!
So inside the egg are a selection 12 further surprises, which are described as some of their cheeriest chocolates. I completely agree, they really put a smile on my face.
