You might not know this, as it’s not something I mention here, but I have a bit of a ‘thing’ about vampires.
I love reading books about them, and watching films and TV programmes. For some reason though The Vampire Diaries has completely passed me by, so when I was offered to review this (amongst other titles) I knew straight away this would be my choice.
You can purchase the entire series from Amazon for £8.97 currently, not bad for 22 episodes, 990 minutes! That’s a lot of Vamp for your buck!
Well I’m only part way through so far (it’s a lot of TV you know) but I have watched the first few episodes now and I love it. You could even say addicted! It is the perfect programme to relax and escape to at the end of the day. I really enjoyed the characters, and was amazed how quickly I started to form opinions and like and dislikes on them.
Firstly there is the vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon one good and one evil. Then add to the mix a very beautiful Elena who is a dead ringer for someone whom the brothers fell in love with 150 years earlier….you can see where this is going right?
I found it funny, and a little quirky and I thought it had a great plot line. There are even a few jump out of your seat moments. The best way to describe it is compelling, you can’t help yourself wanting to know whats going to happen next.
The DVD also has so many special features, one of my favourites is the Creators/Director Pilot commentary, but there is also A Darker Truth Webisode and a Downloadable Audiobook of the best selling novel The Vampire Diaries by L.J.Smith.
Then of course there are the fella’s.
I think it has all the elements really! 😉
Thank you for reading
Disclaimer: I was sent this DVD, thoughts expressed here though are my own.

Ha Ha, I love vampire things too! Was obsessed with Twilight! I really enjoyed this series, a bit far fetched at times but very pleasing on the eye!

Ooh I’m a closet TVD fan! It does get weirder and weirder as the seasons go on though so be warned. The plot has more twists and turns than I don’t know what. Good fun and very easy on the eye 😉
