On a Monday I write a post, that includes some of the things that we love at The Ana Mum Diary. I’ve called it ‘I Love Mondays’ a kind of antithesis to the ‘I Don’t Like Mondays’ hit by the Boomtown Rats. I plan on helping rid the Monday blues with beautiful things. I will virtual shop for your every need. Perhaps introducing you to something that you may have not seen or been to before. You are in good hands, sit back and grab a cuppa.
On that note, how about this autumnal mug from Heals for £9.50. I love a new mug, and I’m always on the look out for them, and this one is educational with all the names of the trees! 😉
It’s all about the geometric in wall paper trends this autumn, and there are some gorgeous ones about. I love this wallpaper by Cole and Son called Bali. It reminded me of early Autumn when the leaves are just changing colour.
Perhaps a little too heavily patterned for a whole room, but I would love this, in a smaller room, like a utility room. Or as a headboard at the back of a bed. It’s muted in tone, so I think it makes it a more useable option.
On the Cole and Son site, they actually cover a piece of furniture in the wall paper. I love this idea!
My third item is by an artist named Mark Hall.
He has done many of these bronze sculptures of conkers. I think I first saw them last year whilst I was in Devon, and completely fell in love with them. They are made of bronze are limited edition and come in various sizes. This one is wittily entitled Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Priced at £285 its a limited edition of 250 pieces. They are truly beautiful!
And finally how about a this autumnal orange chair from John Lewis. I can just imagine curling up with a good book by the fire.
It look so tactile with the velvet covering and multicoloured buttons. The black gloss turned legs with chrome castors, just look so elegant! it’s priced at £999 so definitely an investment. But for me I think it will not age like some styles, the shape is very classic with the high back and curve to the arm.
Well that’s today Autumnal inspired I Love Mondays post.
