With all this cold weather, I am not only wrapping up warm, I’m having to think about putting an extra layer on my face, and change the routine I have with my skin. The wind and cold, together with the central heating have been having an detrimental effect on my skin. Yes I have had my heating on for all this time, and I’m feeling grumpy, we have not had the late summer that we had been promised.
My face has always been combination, but in winter, the dry areas are very dry, and sometimes flaky in appearance. I have been trialling a product, to help me with this, for the last three weeks. Origins Make a difference, Plus+ Rejuvenating treatment. I’m a huge fan of Origins, and have reviewed the BB Tinted Moisturiser and the Dr Andrew Weil Mega Bright. Both firm favourites. So I was intrigued to try this product. It is available nationwide, but also on the official site (www.origins.co.uk) priced at £33.
Here is what origins say about it:
This rejuvenating treatment fortified with Nature’s Rose of Jericho Lychee and Watermelon hydra-sustain complex quenches deep to help add moisture to dry, dehydrated skin.
Instantly boosts skin’s moisture to help keep it hydrated and rejuvenated all day.
Oil-free.
I have been applying a little in the morning and in the evening, as instructed, and yes it is extremelly nourishing, I also absolutely love the smell.
It definitely smells slightly fruity and my skin drinks it in immediately. Afterwards, it doesn’t feel moisturised as such, but it feels much smoother and I think slightly plumper. Overall, it feels as if I am protecting my skin from the elements, as it really does last until the evening when I reapply. I love that it is oil free, and I’ve got to say, I have not had any breakouts since using it either.
Great product for this time of year, would make a lovely Christmas present. If you look at the site, there is a free gift at the moment with every purchase over £30.

I have combination skin, too. This sounds like it would suit me really well.
