Did you manage to catch the new programme on Disney Junior? We did and thought it was brilliant!
Here is trailer for anyone who missed it:
Each story promises to transport preschoolers into the world of Henry Hugglemonster as he guides the young audience through the ups and downs of being part of a loving, bustling monster family.
Not only does it star some really big names…well their voices anyway! But it is fun and colourful, and has really lovely stories to keep your little ones engaged, I’d say from 3 upwards.
It is based on the series by Ireland’s Children’s Laureate Niamh Sharkey called I’m a Happy Hugglewug and published by Walker Books.
It has Geri Halliwell staring as Isabella Roarsome, a spirited and popular monster popstar, who rufuses to go anywhere without lots of bling and a gold tutu…sounds very familiar!
With one of my personal favourites Brenda Blethyn, OBE who has been cast in the role of Ernestine Enormomonster.
Alongside her husband Eduardo Enormomonster, voiced by Brian Blessed. Brian, has the most amazing and enormous voice, so perfect for the part!
Henry Hugglemonster is the latest series to be developed by Disney’s London production hub and produced by twice Oscar-nominated animation studio, Brown Bag Films in Dublin. The Irish production house is also behind Disney Junior’s recent hit, Doc McStuffins.
The series, is going to be shown worldwide, which is very exciting. I’ve got to say I’m more that a little proud of it, being Irish myself. I hope that the series will be a ‘roaring’ success and having seen the first three episodes, I am sure it will be!
Thank you for reading
