I thought I would share some of the photographs from Miss N’s (aged 10) and Tall Dads (age….like a teenager again) fantastic time on the first day of The Ashes 2013. They had an amazing and very special time together. She met all of the players, who were really kind and signed her mini cricket bat and posed for photographs.
She loved every moment of the day, though felt really nervous when she was in the centre for the official toss.
They all look so relaxed, you’d never guess they were just about to play for their country!
Graeme Swann below, has been awarded a benefit year by Nottinghamshire for 2013. Tall Dad attended his launch benefit dinner at Colwick Hall in May, and bid for Miss N to be the mascot. So this is a really special photograph of them both together. You can find out details of all of the events, by clicking on the above link, or searching #swannybenefityear hashtag on twitter.
This is Miss N, walking to the centre of the pitch.
There was an announcement when Miss N was about to go to the centre of the pitch with the captains of England and Australia. Her photograph appeared on the screens.
