Last month I set myself a challenge, I wanted to look at my appearance, and challenge this. It really is part of the changes that I am feeling with my youngest starting school. My work and home life are having to make big adjustments, positive ones but sometimes change is tricky, and I am a bit of an all or nothing kind of person really.
The work side has been slower progress, because I feel like I am still playing catch up from the school holidays. I still need to put more structure into my day, and more importantly my week but I’m getting there. However, as I mentioned above, I am challenging the way I look as well. Being able to wear heels again, has been a revelation and has helped my confidence no end. Today I am actually off to London for dinner with Mark Heyes – the amazing stylist, so I hope to pick his brains whilst I am there.
Over the past few days though I have actually been wearing coloured contact lenses (freshlook colorblends) to change my eye colour. I have worn, brighter blue and green ones before, but never brown – or honey, as these were named. Woah, I really didn’t expect how different I would feel with brown eyes.

How funny, it does make you look so different!
Great to hear about your mojo, have a fabulous evening tonight. You deserve some pampering. x

These contacts look so great! I just stumbled upon your blog post while researching the freshlook colorblends. Can I ask which color you are wearing?

Hi there Mary, thank you for the comment on the blog.
The colour I am wearing in the photo is honey. I must admit I like them, as I can experiment with makeup more, and wear a heavier smokier eye in the evening. My favourite colour so far though is violet, really unusual.
Good luck, let me know how you get on.
