I love good budget beauty tips, and I have a couple of budget busting ones of my own I would love to share with you, but first here is some of the readers of SkinBase’s fantastic beauty secrets that won’t break the bank :
With thanks to SkinBase for this graphic
Some fantastic ideas there, I particularly love the eye-liner tip, as that is my favourite ever make-up product, even when I am in a rush. Using the sticky note or business card, is a nifty tip and one I shall be using this weekend!
So what ideas do I have to add to the mix? Well firstly how about a body brush. They are as little as £4 to buy and are amazing. Did you know that your body discharges more than a pound of waste products every day? So what better way to help improve the appearance of your skin and circulation than body brushing. It feels a little strange at first, but if you do it daily you soon get used to it, and the benefits are said to even include boosting your immune system. The brush should have a long handle, as this makes it easier to reach all areas of your body, natural bristles are best and make sure you always keep the brush dry. Start at the bottom working your way up the body, and always brush towards the heart. Oh and don’t use it on broken skin, as this will aggravate it.
Or my final tip, which is a really inexpensive but effective toner, green tea….no really! I always have green tea in my cupboard, so this is a great one for me. Simply allow the green tea to cool, and using a cotton pad or ball, wash this refreshing liquid all over your face. It is said to also be good if you suffer from acne prone skin. Its gentle but leaves your skin feeling revitalised. I’ve even been known to leave the bag in, and use this itself to apply the green tea toner.
So what do you think to the tips, have you tried any of them? Do you have any to add of your own? I would love to hear about them, just use the comment box below.
Thank you for reading,
