I can’t quite believe how gorgeous Miss A looks in this dress, as soon as we opened the surprise package (which was beautifully wrapped) I knew it would suit her. Chateau de Sable (sellers of a chic collection of French children’s designer clothes) had said they would pick out a dress that they thought she would like, and I think it is perfect. Miss A (and others have agreed) looks as if she comes from another era, maybe the 50’s? She has enviably curly hair, and a cherub like face, and seems to suit vintage style fashion.
This dress really is a classic though, in pink, which seems to be the colour this winter. Such a lovely cut I am sure it would suit so many little girls. I love the detailing of the red piping and the bow. The darts and pleats from the drop waist make the skirt appear fuller.
Ava is very tall for her age just like her big sister (they take after Tall Dad ;)) so even though she is 4, I would usually go for age 5-6 clothing. The dress in fact is age 6, its fits extremely, with a little growing room, so it hopefully will last the whole of the winter. I hope so I think we will get lots of use out it.
Its very easy to wear, a heavy fabric that is lined, and not at all itchy, something that really annoys Miss A. She couldn’t wait to show me how good it was for dancing in!
Here she is wearing the matching hair band. I think you really can tell from these photographs just how much she adores this dress. Oh how I wish they did it in my size, in perhaps navy?
