I can’t tell you how excited I am to write this post. It was only a couple of weeks ago now, that I was asked to get involved in a Secret Santa gift exchange with some of my fellow bloggers. Sixteen of us in total, all with a budget of £80, and all of being let loose on the Debenhams website. I had no problem at all {waits with bated breath and bites nails} buying for my recipient, well I say no problem there was an incredible amount amazing choice on the site, and £80 is a lot of money, if you get it wrong, so I was a little nervous. I am very happy with my choices though and can’t wait to reveal myself. As a little hint, the person I bought for, I have met in real life, I may have even got a little hot and bothered with them once…
I have now received my presents, all 5 of them, and I really couldn’t be more thrilled!
I think the thing that I was most impressed with, was how different all of the gifts were, but how perfect they all were for me. Whoever is my secret Santa, really had done lots of investigation into my likes and loves. So onto the lovely things I have been given:
First up two things to eat from the edible gifts section of the Debenhams site :
A retro radio tin, full of biscuits and a set of stacking tins with hot chocolate. We love hot chocolate at the Ana Mum House, and Tall Dad is a complete cookie monster, so both these will go down brilliantly this Christmas. Plus I have never seen such a cool tin for biscuits before. I shall be reusing that something else I think.
Next to come down the chimney was the Graham & Brown – Yellow neon stripe wall art. I actually wrote about this incredible value art work a couple of months ago. So I was really surprised and delighted to have been gifted it. Its is perfect for my Kitchen, which has lots of black frames in, and we are desperate to add more colour in there.
This one was a little spooky, as I’m sure I’ve never put this one on the blog, but since I went on holiday earlier in the year, I have started to use Philosophy products. I really love the vintage quirkiness of the packaging. So when I opened this Philosophy gift set, I did look over my shoulder a little. {You’re good secret Santa…really good!}
I make no secret though of my love of beauty products, especially Origins, my absolute all time favourite brand:
I was so surprised, I almost did a skip as I opened the Origins Feel Good trio. These are something I have been desperate to try, but felt guilty buying myself, the sign of a perfect gift I think! They are going to be squirreled away for when I get a chance to relax in the bath, believe me they smell am-a-zing!
So my secret Santa did really well, trying to guess who chose the gifts is impossible really. I am going to make a complete stab in the dark, and go for Alison Perry – Not another Mummy Blog. Go on reveal yourself perfect gift buyer….who the devil are you?
Do you want to see who else was involved…
P.S. If you still have some last minute Christmas gifts to buy, Debenhams have a fantastic selection, there really is a gift for everyone.
