I am determined to enjoy even more, my passion for photography this year. Its one of my new year promises to myself that I wrote about HERE. I think now I have a camera that I love, and a couple of lenses to play with, I really am all set to experiment, and enjoy taking photographs. I have some plans to get out and about and try some different photography. I have always loved taking them of my family, and blog set-ups, but I would like to try dome different things now.
I have been contacted by Intellicig, to ask if I wanted to get involved in their “New Year, New Start” campaign. A campaign where they will be helping bloggers to achieve their new year resolutions. You can read more about it HERE. I love January (definitely not for the weather though) but for reflecting on what you want, setting goals and things to change or work towards achieving in the coming year.
So what else could I do to try and improve my photography, and learn more about it? I chatted to my Dad, who is an excellent photographer, and I asked him, if there was one thing he would recommend to me at this stage to help me fulfil my new wish this year, what would he think was the best option? He recommended editing software. He uses Photoshop, which he loves, but suggested I might try lightroom 5 which he had read some great reviews on, and it was within my £100 budget.
From first look to final image, Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom® 5 makes everything about digital photography easier, faster, and more amazing. Perfect your shots with powerful new adjustment tools like the Advanced Healing Brush. Efficiently organize all your photos and share them almost anywhere.
So far, I have only ever used free editing when processing my images – picmonkey being my favourite. I love the idea of experimenting more, and producing images such as this that my Dad had worked on…
I have now received the software, and I am ready to go. I have some photography planned for the weekend, so I can start using it next week. You can follow how I am getting on, and I will write a post, in a month or so time with some of my results.
I can’t wait to get started!
Disclaimer : I was given the Lightroom 5 software, in order to write a review of it. Review coming up in a months time.

I cannot wait to see the photos. Photograhy is one of my passions too, and have also decided I need to attend some photgraphy course to learn how to use my SLR properly.
