We were very excited to be invited to Next HQ, to preview the whole spring/summer 2014 range of children’s clothing. It was a real surprise to see a huge mock shop at the head quarters, and wandering around we found our favourites items of children’s fashion for this spring/summer easily. There was plenty of choice, and a real range of different styles for boys and girls. As I have two girls, I concentrated on the girls fashion.
This is a photo heavy post :
Miss A was in her element, and firmly put herself in charge of finding the Ana hot picks to showcase to you :
The thing I love about Next for Kids clothing, is that you can so easily buy a complete outfit, right down to the shoes, hair accessories and bag. Look at these gorgeous shoes for toddlers: Lots of pretty romantic styles of shoes. These, with a cut out detail were Miss A’s favourite, they are really cute, but great to have a pair of these if you have something more dressed up to go to too. Great with trousers, skirt or dress.
Jelly shoes, were also a top pick. Miss A found these in her favourite colour. Perfect to bring on holiday, or for summer months in the UK. We always pack shoes like this for the beach.
Whether you buy clothing for Next online, use the ‘Directory’ or buy on the high street, the clothing for children this spring summer has lots to offer. They have clothing perfect for the beach, play gear, special occasions such as weddings, or day-to-day clothing. It really is a one stop shop. We loved the colour as well as the styles that were on offer.
Here are our top picks for the clothing :
Girl’s will love the Mamma Mia inspired trend Blue bird. Laundered cotton summer dresses and floaty silhouettes have a distinct folksy feel.
Floaty and romantic with pearl embellishments. This is one of Miss N’s favourites.
Doesn’t she look adorable? We must buy this dress, it’s so pretty! Love the pink and grey colours in this collection.
Vintage : Pack up your parasol for a trip to the beach – Hide Hi is a nautical inspired trend for girls with a retro spin. Quirky polka dots and ice cream prints on tea dresses, mixed with vintage style pinafores gives this story a statement look.
We loved this collection too, great colours, and lots of jersey and cotton fabrics, easy to wear and comfy. The vintage 50’s vibes I thought was perfect.
So there you have it, our top picks for girls spring/summer fashion at Next 2014. What is your favourite?
I attended the event, we had a meal, and the girls were each given a bag and sunglasses as a thank you.
Update Miss A now has the dress…hurrah!

I think the grey and dusky pink is my favourite too, but I am distracted from the clothes by the two most gorgeous models 😉
