Things to see and do at Center Parcs: Learning new skills, family time, laughter and adventure. All things that we did last weekend at our break away at Sherwood Forest Center Parcs. This is my post, where I show you what I recommend to do on a Center Parcs Family break.
The Video
Discover the beauty around you.
Wandering around the village and parc is just so relaxing, and the perfect start to the trip, and to get your bearings. Encountering bunny rabbits running wild, ducks and squirrels on a daily walk.
The views are incredible. Bluebells growing, and hidden paths, gorgeous vistas of the lake and surrounding area.
Crossing babbling brooks and streams on the way to dinner, all part of the experience.
We found feathers and sticks, we made a den for hedgehogs and collected cones for the birds.
Family Time Together
Walking and cycling around the parc, we had enjoyed the calm and the quiet, spent time chatting and just simply being…
Enjoying Activities
It was not all relaxation though, there was some high adrenalin activities too! This was the Aerial Adventure, a maze of tree top climbing high up in the trees. With two zip lines, it definitely got the heart pumping!
Tall Dad and Nia, were delighted to have completed the course.
Fairy and Wizard Academy
Hocus Pocus! Making a wand, a magic jewellery box and chocolate frog at the Time Out Club. My little fairy was renamed Fern Sparkle for the day.
Meals out as a family
Taking our time, and kicking back, good food, good wine and time together.
Pony Rides
We met Bonnie the pony, a highlight of our trip.
Miss A learnt what ponies eat, and all about Bonnie’s character. She was shown the frog in her hoof, and taught about the reason it was there and why ponies wear horse shoes. She drank in every detail.
Roller Skating
The girls tried roller skating for the first time, and I rekindled my passion for it…
Playing hide and seek and silly games, making memories, adventure and discovery. Family time we will always remember!
So overall what is my lasting impression of Center Parcs?
The staff were incredible, we experienced some of the best customer service we’ve ever received. We had a jam-packed weekend doing all the things we love, and discovering new things too, but we came back relaxed and rejuvenated. Our lodge was perfect, just the right size, a home from home.
Thank you Center Parcs for an incredible weekend!
‘I’m a Center Parcs Family Blogger and we visited Sherwood village with my family as part of my package for working with them. If you want to enter to win a place as a wildcard winner just go to the challenge page to find out how HERE.

How much did you pack in??? Stunning pics and I love the video, that will be fab to look back on when the kids are older too! I want to go again, we haven’t been since the kids were small. Mr A was saying we should as there are so many more activities the kids could try. Aw A and that balloon and birthday singing – what a treat! How brave is Nia?

I know, looking back on the photographs and video, we really did pack lots in. I think thats the thing, every age group has so many different activities. The Parc grows up with your children. I’d like to stay in a tree house next time!`

So lovely to have family time – and it all looks so fun! We went to Center Parcs a few years back when the kids were tiny and loved it!

Wow, it looks like you had an awesome time!
I have been to Sherwood Forest Center Parcs 3 times now and it gets better every time.
I didn’t realise that you could do roller skating, my eldest had a roller disco party last weekend, so this will be music to her ears, I think I need to check out what deals they have over the summer!

Looks like a really fantastic holiday. We have been to Centre Parcs several times since Little was born and it is a great family experience but unfortunately we didn’t find the staff as helpful or accommodating. The restaurants are great for families and open early in the evenings which is great when you have a baby and don’t wan tot be out too late.
Amanda Cottingham says
I’m so sorry about that. Honestly Kirsty, and I don’t say this lightly, the staff were incredible for our break! We go to Disney regularly, who are known for the amazing people who work there. But Center Parcs blew us away!

I’m so excited about the new one opening next month, it’s literally a mile from our door! I reckon we can sneak in a few weekend’s away without having to drive miles!
Great post.
