Regular readers of The Ana Mum Diary will know that I am a collector. A collector and finder of beautiful things. I can’t help myself. I just love to have things around me that tell a story, a story about me and my family. I think that’s why I started my series called I Love Mondays, where I virtually shop and let you in (through my blog posts) on hidden gems on the internet, or things I have found and fallen in love with. I have eclectic tastes, and I think today’s modern home should reflect your tastes, what do you think?
I have found just such a on-line shop that it would be criminal not to let you in on. Even its name oozes the kind of charm I look for when dressing my home, intrigued? Let me let you in on the secret.
Culture Vulture : ”Unpacking our finds from a world well-travelled.”
Journey to Russia, South America, Italy and New England from the comfort of your armchair as we seek out the perfect finds, from furniture and home accessories to clothing and jewellery. Discover delicious food and wonderfully-scented toiletries from smaller manufacturers with well-chosen books to feed your mind.
I was asked to choose some of my favourite pieces from the brand and find a spot for them in my home, let those pieces tell a story. I loved the site, and I must admit, it took me quite some time to choose, there are so many pieces that I loved. I couldn’t wait for them to arrive when I did.
First up I choose a set of four china Gourmet Cheese Plates : £19.99
We are great lovers of cheese, and love the social side of getting people together to enjoy a meal like this. So these plates will be used a lot in our home!
A bottle of wine, and some freshly made bread, meats and cheeses. Perfect!
Next up the last rooms that I updated were my en suite and bedroom, and I blogged about it a couple of months ago HERE. Well the window shelf, never felt quite right, and I have been looking for the perfect thing to grace it since then. Culture Vulture came up trumps :
This set of three Beauvais Bottles, are currently on sale at £12, but usually they are £28. I love then so! I have been coveting bottles like this for so long, they really do pretty up the bathroom shelf, even more. The vintage style french labels definitely fit in with the rooms feel.
Finally, and ever so slightly triumphantly this final piece for you today :
A distressed metal Spitalfield Stool
Every home should have a stool, and up until now we haven’t. I’m going to use this for photographs and props, as well as a useful place for a drink, or book in the evening, as we sit in the conservatory. This is also on sale at £24.99 from £55, so if you want one of these you’d better get in there quick, I’m sure they will sell fast!
I have one more set of items, but I have a couple of things I need to do, before I reveal them next week…watch this space!

LOVE the cheese plates, they are so gorgeous and it’s just occurred to me I don’t have a stool and that Spitalfields one is so cool.
