I’ve been trying different styles over summer, going for a more relaxed look, than my usual one. I’ve enjoyed it, and want to take that through to autumn and winter too. So I’ve been looking at pieces to add to my wardrobe to help me do that.
One of my favourite places to buy jeans is Great Plains, the cut and style and price really suit me. So I thought this would be a great place to add some more casual items to my wardrobe. Great Plains for me is great if you are looking for a simple but stylish capsule wardrobe, as each season they offer pieces that really do work so well together.

I’ve started off my new season picks with the Route 66 Biker Jacket, one my favourite items in the new Great Plains range :
- PU biker jacket
- Bracelet sleeves
- Popper neck fastenings
- Main zip fastening
- Zipped chest pocket
- Belt loops at hem
- Epaulettes
- Zipped cuffs
I wore it at a recent photography course I attended in Birmingham, this snap was taken by my blogging pal Jen from Love Chic Living. As it is still quite warm, I teamed it with some loose fit trousers and sandals and a short-sleeved top, so once the sun came out I could take the jacket off. Once it gets colder however, I will be looking at investing in some fine knit jumpers, like the ones above, skinny jeans and short boots.
It fits great, I can’t zip the Jacket up, but I think that helps nip it in the waist, when you see it from behind. To be honest I wouldn’t zip up a jacket like this anyway.
It’s priced well for a jacket like this at £95, with great details, as describe above, looks more like leather rather than PU I think.
