I’ve wanted a Bluetooth speaker for quite some time now. Actually to be more specific, I’ve wanted a Stelle pillar Bluetooth speaker since I first saw them in the summer. As someone who is really into the ‘look’ of her home, this goes hand in hand with the tech too. I fell in love with the styling of the Dwell Studio designed speaker. I loved the matt black with gold/copper metallic design. I then read some reviews, and knew it was the one for our home, as it not only looks great, but its performance is right there to back up its looks!
As you can see the styling of it, is simple with the controls at the top of the pillar, very easily accessible.
Stelle have teamed up with home decor design house, Dwell Studio to come up with this beauty. The founder and creative director Christiane Lemieux and her team went through the Dwell Studio archives and picked their most iconic prints to design the perfect sound accessory. As well as the black and gold speaker that I went for, they also designed a pewter and silver version. This Dwell Studio designed Stelle speaker really does look as beautiful as it sounds.
The first thing I did was to charge the pillar (it can be used for up to 15 hours when it’s not connected to the power and takes approximately 4 hours to reach full power) it can of course be also used whilst it is plugged in too. I then turned on the pillar and set about pairing it to my iPhone. I turned on the Bluetooth on my phone (I repeated the process on my tablet too) at the same time I held down the pairing button (top left) of the pillar for three seconds and audio voice will then let you know that the two devises are ‘pairing’ together. Once you have done this once, your smart phone or tablet with pair automatically when it is in range of the pillar. So simple to use, I was very impressed!
It works wirelessly, or wired with any Bluetooth device including smartphones, iPods, tablets, computers and TV’s. You can then change the volume and the songs you are listening to directly on your device.
As I will be mostly be using this speaker in my home office the Stelle Pillar also has another really handy feature. The top right hand button allows you to use the pillar as a speaker phone and this can be used to both answer the call or hang up.
You can connect to non Bluetooth devices too, via the 3.5 Stereo Input Cable that is included.
The Sound:
My husband (known as Tall Dad on the blog) is a complete geek when it comes to the quality of sound and audio equipment, he was so impressed with the Stelle.
Tall Dad said
‘…quality highs as a unit of its size, and the bass tones are excellent. It handles high volume exceptionally well. It has a crisp quality that makes definition and analytical sound excellent!’
One of the best features of the Stelle Pillar, is that thanks to it being a 360 speaker, no matter where you put the speaker in the room the sound is fantastic and can be heard by everyone.
I have loved using the Stelle speaker, I can completely see why it is an award winning brand, and known as audio couture, as I have fallen just a little bit a whole lot in love with it. If you want to find out more about the speaker, or purchase one visit, their site HERE. Prices start from £99 (Go Go) for a Dwell speaker, the one I reviewed however if £299. They also sell speakers that are in built into purses and clutch bags, such a cool and innovative idea!
An evening with Bublé.
I was given a Stelle Dwell Studio Pillar in order to write this review. It is however a honest review, and the words used are 100% my own.

This is gorgeous – wish I’d known about these before the boy went out and bough this giant ugly sound bar!

Love it. Usually, they come out with really boring speakers but this one brings color and pattern. I would definitely recommend it.
