I can think of no better way to ease myself into the weekend, than a Friday spent at Eden Hall day spa in Nottinghamshire. I would happily ease myself into Monday, Tuesday…and well every day there too, if I could!
So myself and three other bloggers spent a day at Eden Hall, you can read about Penny’s, Jen’s and Becky’s experiences there.
Eden Hall is set in beautiful grounds, and is an amazing grade II listed building. Full of historical features, but is so modern and well-kept inside. I’ve visited several spas recently through my blogging, and Eden Hall is definitely my favourite.
This Friday I would describe as much busier than when we have been on previous spa days at Eden, but it’s still very easy to find quiet areas to read a book and contemplate the meaning of blogging. 😉
WILD ROSE SPA DAY
Exclusive for January 2015 is the Wild Rose Spa day (£99) that we sampled – available Sunday-Thursday. You get to use all of the gorgeous facilities including the salt-water vitality swimming pool, water therapies, sauna, saunarium, rose infused steam room, herbal caldarium, relaxation classes and chill out areas. The day is also broken up with your facial and a delicious three-course lunch in Eden’s Seventh Heaven. All you need to bring with you is a swimming costume (there is a robe and towels in your locker on arrival) and suitable footwear, though the floors are all heated, and are very toasty to walk on.
Once it’s your treatment time, you are led to a private room with your therapist. The Wild Rose Facial which takes 25 mins is without doubt the best facial I have ever received. I love Aromatherapy Associates products anyway, so knew I wouldn’t be disappointed, but it was the actual anti-ageing facial massage that impressed me the most. My skin felt incredibly moisturised,I was left with a rosy glow and felt so relaxed.
Once your facial is over, you are given details of products the therapist recommends (you can pick these up at the spa shop) some water to drink, and led to the post-treatment area :
With easy chairs, bathed in sunshine, it’s the perfect way to just have a few minutes to yourself post treatment. If it’s not so sunny though, don’t worry everywhere including here is lovely and warm, and there are plenty of blankets and pillows to snuggle into.
Included in all of Eden’s full day packages is a delicious three-course meal with complimentary buffet in the Seventh Heaven Restaurant. I’ve never been disappointed by the food whilst at Eden, and I must admit, I am quite tricky to please in this area.
I started off with a spiced and aromatic parsnip soup, a small portion, and the perfect way to start a meal, it really got my taste-buds going. I followed it with a red onion and feta tart, very light and morish. I helped myself to a selection of salads from the buffet area to accompany it.
Finally I could resist the Sachertorte, with a lightly whipped orange cream.
As this package is available only for January, I would recommend that you go onto the Eden Hall Site, to peruse the other spa packages, including a Detox of the mind and body, Love is...and Time for Mum package.
