I have a really simple Valentines recipe for you today, so simple in fact, it’s only two ingredients. It would make a gorgeous tasty gift, children could even bring it in to give to friends at school.
All you need is a silicon mould, I found an old one ice cube tray I bought from Ikea ages ago. I’ve found a similar one from Lakeland HERE. I used Green and Blacks white chocolate which I melted in the microwave. You need to do that really carefully so you don’t burn the chocolate. Then add the decorations you want on the chocolates to the bottom of the mould. You then add the melted chocolate on top.
Tip : I made the mistake the first time I made them, of tapping the mould to make sure there were no air bubbles. If you do this it moves the decoration so you can’t see them as clearly. Just add the chocolate spoon by spoon, and smooth instead.
I got the sugar hearts for the decorations from TK Maxx (who knew they have a cake decoration section?!) they are from the Cake Kit company, if you’d like to buy them.
An alternative would be these Dr. Oetker Eton Mess sprinkles, which are meringue pieces and freeze-dried strawberries I also added red jelly beans too, the combination worked really well.
I also made dark chilli chocolate ones, great if you’d like to give them to someone whose a lover of a little spice.
