What will you be doing this St Patrick’s day? There are some really simple, tasty and cool ideas around that I wanted to share with you ready for the celebrations tomorrow. St Patrick’s is an important celebration for our family, as not only am I Irish, but its my Dads Birthday too. We usually go to the local Saint Patrick’s day parade (in Nottingham) and enjoy soda bread, a Guinness and a gorgeous stew – vegetarian for me. Wearing green and with shamrock proudly displayed on our lapels, we will be ready to enjoy the live music and have some fun on the square.
I’ve been using my Pinterest to collate some really cool ideas this year, and I wanted to share them with you. If you would like to follow that board here it is:
Follow Amanda Cottingham’s board St Patrick’s Day : Luck O’ The Irish on Pinterest.
First up some Green Velvet Cupcakes, by Created by Diane. Perfect if you were wanting to cook something with or for the children.
Or something a little more decadent, how about this from Love Swah a Dark chocolate Guinness cake with baileys cream cheese icing, it looks amazing!
If you were holding your own St Pats celebrations then Lolly Jane, has more than 30 free printables for you to use, just follow THIS link.
How about this idea too for a easy to achieve table setting from BHG.com
This is such a sweet craft to do, how about making your own four leaf clover out of felt. I can’t find the source for this one, but if anyone recognises it, let me know and I will update the post.
Finally because its my favourite you MUST bake soda bread. I love this version of it from the very talented Lil Luna – Honey Whole Wheat Irish Soda Bread.
So all that remains is for me to wish you a fantastic day tomorrow. Sláinte!
