As part of my ambassadorship with Graham and Brown, I look at an interiors trends and some of the products that you could buy to recreate these trends each month. Last month, it was more of a practical post, as I added products into my daughters bedroom makeover. You can read more about that HERE. Previous I have also looked at the Precious trend, one I had great fun with.
This month its mother nature and the theme of horizon…
“Horizon is the fluid movement of design, the sense that something special is about to happen; forecasting your hopes and dreams for your interior. This trend is all about introducing tranquil tones, adding waves of subtle colour and luxury textures to your home,” – The Horizon Trend
I’ve been wanting to play around with forest green colours for a while, and I thought they would work really well with the horizon theme. I could have put the green together with other darker colours like inky blue, which would have been a great strong moody look, but I wanted to play more upon the trend of nature and stick with a simple colour palate.

I think keeping with green, silver and gold, it gives a rich opulent tropical look, and one which would be easy to recreate. You could also mix up by adding other colours to change it up, maybe matching the seasons, for example bunt oranges and bronzes in autumn. I think it would be crucial to add living plants to the room, to add depth and movement. Also I couldn’t resist adding a sheepskin rug too, for warmth and texture.
Fabric is also important to soften the look, whether in cushions, which Graham and Brown have a great selection of, or in the fabric for the curtains and blinds, which is why I included a fabric swatch from So Easy Blinds in a moss green.
So do you like the look, have you ever incorporated it sucessfully into one of your rooms?

I love the write up about the horizon theme, having ‘hopes and dreams for your interior’ – that’s important I think. I’ve not used forest green anywhere but love your mood board and the gold and green together (love the mirror!). Thanks for the inspiration!
