We have a very loved dog in residence at the Ana Mum Diary, as you know. Bennett is the apple of his Daddy’s eye, let me tell you! Unfortunately his dog bed, was looking a little threadbare, and had definitely seen better days. So we needed to treat him to a new one. Bennett actually sleeps in our hallway, so everyone coming to the house sees the bed, and it was starting to be a little embarrassing! I was disappointed to find that there was very little on the market in terms of cool design, when it comes to a bed for your pampered pooch. Nothing seemed to suit!
Naps Design, to the rescue!
Designed in Italy, and made of felt, it really is the perfect place for Bennett to lay his head and dream about chasing rabbits and cats at the end of day.
He is a Lhaspoo, which is a fairly small dog, and this is the small sized dog bed (other sized are available) perfect for him to curl up in. Its 60 cm wide and has been personalised with his name, you don’t have to add the name if that’s not your thing, but we couldn’t resist!
I know its just so perfect isn’t it? I love the black pepper colour of the bed, which contrasts in this case, with a white comfy pillow inside. We went for a cotton pillow, which is padded with wool, this provides a natural insulator. Its so comfortable, he’s been curling up on it rather than jumping on the sofa. Result!
As you can see the walls of the bed are moderately flexible, so not hard and uncomfortable, when the dog pressed up to them. The felt and other fabrics are cut and sewn by hand, making the product really unique.
The wool is needle felted in Italy and isn’t dyed, but a natural colour – Bergschaf wool. It feels tactile, not squeaky and scratchy like synthetic felt feels.
The whole thing is also washable, and comes with care instructions from the designer, Camilla. You can even remove the wooden base to wash the pet bed. Camilla, is a really talented lady, and I received feedback throughout the ordering process.
Both Bennett and I are really pleased with the bed its perfect for both of us!
Prices vary depending on what size and design you go for. If you went for a small size bed with personalisation and a cotton pillow it would be around £160 + shipping. If you went for a fleece pillow £110.22 plus shipping.

Dog beds are very important because a dog sleep and take rest almost 15 hours a day. Comfortable beds is helpful in that case. Thank you for sharing all the nices beds and love those.
