Do you love Disney? I would say we are most definitely a Disney household, and now a Disney Life one too! Both of my daughters lives has been punctuated with so many amazing Disney moments. From visiting Disneyland in Florida and Paris, celebrating Disney themed birthdays, watching Disney on Ice, to those extra special times together enjoying the Disney magic brought to life in film, TV, games and books.
I thought it would be fun to look at each of my daughters favourite films and why in this post to explain to you some of the moments of our DisneyLife so far :
I will never forget when we first saw Little Mermaid. Nia was around 4 and it was a musical production on stage. She was already familiar with the music, as she had heard the songs many times already. To see her face light up when Nia came face to face with her own real life mermaid, even though it was only on stage, was incredible. We followed that up with watching the film together, so many times after that, and it became her firm favourite. Well who doesn’t love a mermaid hey?! We were lucky enough the following year to visit Disney World Florida, and became fully immersed in all things Little Mermaid as we visited her in her underwater grotto in Magic Kingdom. It just brought the story to life, once again for her. The innocence and total belief that these character are real and part of our lives, magical!
At the grand old age of 6, Miss A’s Disney favourites have evolved over time, from Snow White, Tangled’s Rapunzel, to Merida, the mighty red-headed Brave. She was all about those princesses growing up!
I never thought she could love Disney, and all of its magical characters any more, until the phenomenon that is Frozen hit our screens. We watched it at the cinema when it first came out, and then we went to see it again, and once again for the sing-a-long version. She was completely in awe, we all were I think. The music transported us to a land where magic happens, snowmen come to life and Reindeer could talk. She then needed the DVD, the outfits, which must (she insists) be always worn whilst we watch the film. I secretly love that these are the rules, as there is something so gorgeous seeing your children in fancy dress, their imaginations all fired up. They do grow out of this stage so quickly, so it’s definitely one to treasure.
So why is Disney so special for our family. Well its the magic, and the continued belief in it that’s so special. I love that I have complete faith in Disney, it allows you all to just let go and be on a flight of imagination, that will never disappoint.

Do you love Disney?
Absolutely! We have 3 boys at home and they grew up with Disney Channel at home.
They’ve been crazy of Doc Mc Stuffin, Sheriff Cally and last but not least Mickey Mouse 🙂
We’re planning to visit Disney Orlando at the end of the year on school break. It will be their first magical moments. Hope they’ll love it as their parents did couple of years back 🙂
Thanks for the article Amanda!
