I’ve been on the lookout for new artwork for my home, and today I wanted to highlight a company I am working with called Posterlounge. I ordered this ‘She Believed She Could So She Did‘ from them by Elisabeth Fredriksson who is an artist and graphic designer from north of Sweden.
I was very creative as a little child, started to draw when I was 10 and got my first camera at 15. Ever since then I’ve been very passionate about photography. In 2011 I went to art school to learn and explore other mediums and found myself very attatched to graphics and that is now what I do most of the time. When I create I can get inspired from everything between a grain of sand to the universe at large. Art is my life.
I knew I wanted something that would be free standing (rather than hanging it on the wall) as I wanted to be able to hide the ugly wifi box, which this does perfectly! Its rigid and made from Alu-Dibond. Its very slim (3mm thick) but strong, is semi matt and has a aluminium backing plate. It’s both light and sturdy. Alu-Dibond is also very resistant to moisture and sunlight, which means you can hang these images outdoors, or even in wet areas. It did come with mounting brackets for the wall, so it would appear to be floating which I may use if I decide to move it at a later date.
I love that it picks up on two of the current colour trends of pink and metallics as well as having a very strong graphic design.
When I was browsing the site I loved that you could find artwork based on a room, art style and artist. Once I realised that I loved the Elisabeth Fredriksson style I was then able to look at all of pieces she has created.
