Hot from Paris is So Shape, a way to lose weight in a simple no hassle way. So Shape contacted me at the beginning of September and I decided to give it a go. After the indulgences of (an amazing) summer, because yes you guessed it whilst on holiday I ate and drank with abandon, putting on all of the weight I’d lost. I was determined to quickly draw a line under it all, not beat myself up about it, and get back on the health train.
So I’ve been getting up a little earlier to do a short cardio session, getting a bit of a spring in my step to start the day, and for the past couple of weeks I’ve also been following the So Shape plan.
So how does it work?
There are 3 different plans that you can opt for.
- Reboot for 5 days
- Remove 14 days (this is the one I decided to do)
- Reborn 28 days
Just make your flavour choices online, and they will send the meals (see above) and water fruit infuser and plan guide direct to you door. You then eat one of the smart meals for breakfast and another for dinner. Leaving you free to enjoy lunch as you normally would.
In the morning you start the day with either a hot or cold drinks (smart meal) from one of the ones you have ordered. With 11 choices in total, you wont get bored, flavours such as of Cookies and Cream, Cappuccino and Raspberry Frappe. They are really easy to prepare, just add water and either heat up in the microwave or add cold water and give them a shake to mix.
So Shape : French Garden Soup
For lunch I enjoyed either a hot meal, or sandwiches depending on how much time I had. I loved that the plan gave me the flexibility to have a meal out too, as sometimes I have events or family things that I need to go to. I could even switch things round a little, having a smart meal for lunch instead.
So Shape : Pesto Pasta
Dinner
The main courses are either meals or soups, I chose a spicy bolognese, pesto pasta and mushroom risotto. They were sufficiently different to one another that I wasn’t bored. I sometimes added some steamed vegetables or salad to these too. I think the only thing I found tough was not having something sweet in the evening, even a piece of fruit which are banned on this plan because of the sugar. After the first week though I got used to this. I think it took me longer mostly because I had been so indulgent over summer in Cyprus.
Still Hungry?
Now I did find a few times, I fancied a snack as I was still hungry and So Shape offer you a list of recommended ‘open foods’. I either used these whilst I was having the meal, as a side dish or one I really enjoyed was 0% fat yogurt with a little spice and seasoning in, which I used with various chopped vegetables to dip into when I craved something to munch on.
What I loved about the plan?
Its vegetarian, there are no preservatives, free from GMO’s and gluten-free.
I work from home, but I love that the meals are easy to transport and bring with you if you need to, and incredible simple to prepare.
I felt a real boost of energy. I didn’t really understand why this was until I looked into the ingredients of the smart meals as they are packed with vitamins, iron and magnesium.
Even though the meals aren’t high in calories, they definitely leave you feeling full.
Tea and coffee was allowed! I can’t tell you how much easier that made it for me. No sugar in them, which wasn’t a problem for me as I don’t take it.
It encouraged me to keep drinking water. I’ve written recently about the fact I now drink more water than I have ever done. Well I’ve been trying out detox water in the So Shape fruit infuser with this plan, and really been enjoying it. I especially loved adding fruit and mint leaves in mine, so refreshing!
The Results
I was left after the two weeks feeling that my stomach had shrunk considerably, and I had lost the sluggish feeling that I’d not been able to get rid of since the summer. It helped me stop reaching for the junk (especially sugary foods) and completely cut alcohol and fizzy drinks out. Overall I found it a great way to kick start what is going to be me saying no to all of those bad foods that had crept back in to my diet. The bonus being that I lost weight and inches. I’m in a size smaller jeans and feeling fantastic!

Thanks for sharing! I’ve been on and off something similar for a while but might look into this as a change might be what I need! Thanks
