Do you ever find yourself dreaming of what you would do if you won the lottery? Well I do (a bit too often really) in fact I’ve even had a few conversations with the others about it too. There’s something so satisfying about making ‘if I ever win the lottery’ plans. So I thought today I would share with you what I would do, should that ever (crosses fingers) happened. Now I will start this off and say, I would without a doubt pay my mortgage off, as well as my brothers and make sure that my mum and dad had a good nest egg to enjoy their retirement with. I’d also put some away for our pension pot. In fact those would be first things I would do.
Next up. I would plan an amazing holiday and cruise for my family and my Mum and Dad to enjoy. It would last all summer, with extended stays at places we’ve always wanted to visit. For me travel is so important, and if we didn’t have the usual budget constraints, I’d spend every school holiday away I think.
So here is my indulgent lotto winning summer itinerary:
I’d make sure there were first a week in New York, where we would take in the sites, watch a show on Broadway. I write that nonchalantly but I already know it would be The Cursed Child, and the best seats in the house too. We as a family adore the whole Harry Potter books and films, dinner and a show, well two in fact because its two parts. We’d lay our head at somewhere luxurious like The Beekham hotel which I spotted recently, the building and architecture look amazing! We’d do some major shopping. As my eldest will be 16 this year, I would buy her something from Tiffany and let Miss A go wild in aisles buying squishies and slime. The Tall Fella, would be easy, let him loose anywhere with shoes, golf gear and American football merchandise.
From there we’d hop over to California, hire a huge retro (PINK) American car, and do the coast line.
Stopping off at some of those gorgeous ice cream coloured art deco houses, which we’d hire for a few days along the route. I’d have private chefs waiting for us at each of houses. Who would cook us incredibly delicious and healthy food. I’ve always wanted to see places like LA, San Francisco and San Diego. I’d want to do as much as we could, culture good food and wine. Of course, as complete Disney addicts we’d definitely spend a couple of days at Disneyland.
We’d then try a cruise, that would take us back up the coast all the way up to British Columbia the westernmost province of Canada. Complete rest, spa treatments and get involved in all the onboard activities. Love a cruise for pure decadence and great entertainment.
Now we are fully rested, we’d have two weeks in Florida, a place we love to visit as a family. We’ve been there I think 10 times? Once with my husband as part of my honeymoon, then we went a few times when we had our eldest Nia. It’s still completely our favourite place to vacation. There is nothing like the magic Disney creates. I’ll never forget that first trip we all did as our little family staying at The Polynesian, and I would love to try to replicate that, but staying at one the new lakeside villas that look utterly amazing!
That final week would be at Amelia Island, putting a final chilled vibe before we head back home. It’s supposed to be the perfect.
So that’s my plans for this summer if our digits come up. I’m not in charge of the numbers though, thats the Tall Fella’s job, and we do both the UK, and EuroMillionare. Visit Lottoland site for this and other ways of joining in with the lottery.
