I am so excited to share with you today, this amazing Leesa mattress, that we have been reviewing for the last month. I’ve waited a whole month to tell you about it, as I really did want to thoroughly test it out. Would it be supportive enough, sag or be uncomfortable? So first up I wanted to show you the Leesa mattress, and tell you a little bit more about what we think about it after sleeping on it for over 30 days.
Ordering and Unboxing a Leesa mattress
You order your new Leesa mattress online, which is simple to do, you just need to know your bed size. I’ll be sharing with you an amazing discount code at the end of this review, so make sure you read to the end. In a few days your mattress is delivered, shrink wrapped in a box making it easy to move to your bedroom. There are some simple instructions you need to follow, which are on the box and also online. Basically when you unwrap it, you need to position the mattress flat on the bed, leaving it to expand naturally. This is my mattress, after 4 hours.
The mattress we were replacing this Leesa mattress for, was also a foam mattress, and this style does have different feel to a sprung mattress, and can take a little getting used to. So that’s something to take into consideration when you are buying. It’d definitely the style we both prefer, as it feels so much more supportive. There are two big initial differences I noticed with this brand, and our previous foam mattress. The first is that it fitted our bed much better. Our bed is a standard UK king size (priced at £750) but our last one was short, and so our pillows annoyingly kept falling down the back. The second was that this mattress was much thicker. It still used standard fitted sheets, but was a much better fit for the bed frame. After we slept on the mattress that night, the differences continued to be felt.
Cooler!
First up, we have been experiencing a heat wave for the whole time we’ve been using this mattress. I have been blown away with how much cooler this mattress is compared to the foam mattress we were using. That’s down to the fact that Leesa have cleverly added 5cm of Avena® foam to the top layer. This provides airflow for a cooler night’s sleep and enough bounce-a-bility for freedom of movement.
Bad Back Problems!
Both myself and my husband have struggled in the past with back aches and pains. This past year or so, both of us have REALLY struggled and our backs have hurt in the morning when we first got up. I should say at this point our last mattress was 4 years old. This mattress feels so different, its denser, and really feels like it’s relieving pressure. I sleep on my side, and my husband on his back and both of us feel that this mattress is so much more supportive instantly. In the middle layer of the Leesa is a 5cm memory foam layer. This is what delivers the body contouring and pressure relief. Both of us feel a lot less stiff and it’s actually a lot easier to get out of bed every morning now!
That Heavy Feeling!
When you think about the amount of time that you spend in your bed, it’s so important to find a mattress, that feels good, dare I say perfect! I feel like this is the perfect, mattress for us. Both my husband and myself are big people. My husband being nearly 6ft 5 and myself being a UK size 16 and 5ft 9. Not something I would usually mention, but I think its important to in this review, as this mattress really does offer amazing support for both of us. Both my husband and myself when we are stressed, struggle a little with sleep. The Leesa mattress, is the kind where when the other partner is tossing and turning you really don’t feel it, so not disturbing one another in the night. This is all thanks to the 15cm base foam layer which adds strength, durability and structure to support sleepers of all sizes, without feeling too firm. I can confirm, my 9 year old daughter too thinks this mattress is incredibly comfortable.
Stop The Press :
Leesa offer a 100-night risk-free trial period. Which means that if it isn’t working out for you at any point in the first 100 nights of receiving the mattress, all you have to do is get in touch with them and they arrange for the mattress to be collected and donated through a charitable organisation. Which is an amazing idea I think. Giving back seems to be at the heart of the company, as they donate one mattress to charitable causes, for every ten sold.

Goldilocks…
I think my overall feeling about this mattress is that I am super impressed with it. It’s our Goldilocks mattress, not too hard, and not too soft, it’s just right!

I’ve not tried the Leesa yet although I’ve heard from others as well how comfy it is! I have a Simba Luxe and I agree, they are far more comfy than their spring counterparts 🙂 x PS. I love your bed frame! So pretty!

Thanks Kimberley I’ve had the frame for nearly 20 years I think. Can’t imagine ever not having it, I love it so much. I was surprised how different this was to the one I previously had, but overall I’m definitely a convert

I’ve read so many good reviews about Leesa. And I really like the way they look too. When I need to replace our mattress I will definitely consider a Leesa.

Great offer, Amanda and glad to hear you are liking your Leesa mattress! I love a Leesa mattress, it feels soft and supple, but also very supportive which is good for back issues. I love the cover too! My teenage son has one and finds it so comfy – in fact he would stay asleep on it until lunchtime if I let him! X
