STOP THE PRESS…Best-selling Spanish skincare brand Sesderma has announced its UK launch – with their hero Azelac Ru Liposomal Serum TRX. I’ve been lucky enough to have been given a few items from the Sesderma range to review, so I could give you my thoughts. They are for me very professional, with lots of active ingredients in each of the products. A company that really knows its consumers. They’ve been around since 1989, so I am thrilled that they have at last become available in the UK.
AZELAC RU LIPOSOMAL SERUM £40.80
First up I wanted to talk to you about the best selling Azelac Ru Liposomal Serum TRX – £40.80 This product sells one unit every 30 seconds in its homeland, with Spanish women swearing by its hyperpigmentation control and skin luminising qualities for almost 30 years.
I currently don’t have hyperpigmentation, however, I do have a little bit of an uneven skin tone, especially around my cheeks and nose and of course fine lines and wrinkles as I’m 47. I have been using this for four weeks and though I haven’t as yet seen a big difference in the skin tone, it definitely looks more luminous and I do think my fine lines have improved. It really has left my skin feeling good. Simply apply 4 drops in your hand and massage on the areas to be treated before bedtime. A little goes a long way too.
…powerful active ingredients that include 4-Butylresorcinol, Azelaic Acid, Boldine Diacetyl, Niacinamide, Retinol, Vitamin C that combine together in a liposome formula to provide direct action on melanin producing skin cells and clarifies and reduces the intensity of spots and helps prevent the appearance of new ones.
When I was looking at the ingredients one of the main ones that jumped out at me was the Azelaic Acid. Azelaic acid has a beneficial therapeutic action in skin disorders. It’s used in the treatment of rosacea, acne and for its anti-stain effect. The serum also has Retinol, though I can’t tell in what percentage, however, it is high up on the ingredient list. Retinol is a powerful anti-wrinkle agent that increases natural collagen production, and it reverses sun damage.
Overall I am very impressed with the serum and I look forward to continuing wearing it over summer I can see why it’s so popular. I will update if I notice any more differences to my skin. Please note, as with all products such as this you do need to wear a good wide spectrum SPF.
FACTOR G RENEW LIPID BUBBLES SERUM -£44.24
So as I mentioned above. I’ve been testing out the Sesderma products over the last month, and this serum I used for four weeks first thing in the morning after I’ve cleansed my face.
Factor G includes growth factors of plant origin to reactivate the functioning of the skin by stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis. All this leads to an improvement in the condition of the skin, giving it youth and vitality. In addition, centella asiatica and stem cells provide repairing, regenerative and antioxidant properties (protecting the skin from attacks by free radicals). They are also active ingredients with anti-inflammatory properties which do not cause irritation, exfoliation or increased sensitivity to the sun, making them especially suitable for sensitive and reactive skins.
I love how this left my skin, it definitely was nourishing, and I like the idea of it working deep down in my skin. If I was giving myself a bit of a facial, I added this to my routine too, as it really seemed to leave my skin feeling less dehydrated and firmer, it felt like I was giving my face a treat. I would definitely recommend.
ACGLICOLIC CLASSIC BODY MILK – £34.80
I don’t use anything on my body in terms of creams or oils. So far I’ve resisted, as I just don’t like the feel of putting something on my skin after a shower. Well, this product has me very tempted to change that. I don’t know if its a reflection of the state of my skin, or how good this body milk is, but it was instantly sunk into my skin. The results have been incredible. I hope this isn’t in too much detail, but usually, if I take off dark coloured trousers or jeans, I can see my skin has fallen off like dandruff, but since I’ve been using this, it doesn’t any longer. It also makes my whole body feel amazing, soft and smooth to the touch. I even used it straight after shaving my legs and it didn’t have an adverse reaction.
HIDRADERM HYAL FACIAL CREAM 50ML – £25.46
I would consider this a very simple and clean moisturiser. It’s very effective, but also doesn’t irritate your skin or leave it feeling too slick, making it perfect to add makeup soon afterwards. After a little research, I discovered that it’s formulated with high, low and very low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (liposome) allowing deep moisturizing of the skin at different levels plus the surface film-forming effect. My daughter actually reacted to something she was using, and I gave her this to use for a few days, as I just knew it would work to help calm down the skin and it did. This is a great face cream to have in your product stash for all those kinds of emergencies, or if you’ve had microdermabrasion or other similar treatments.
Overall I am very impressed with this brand, I think they have some great standout products, and you really can tell that they have used their knowledge to come up with the answers to some of the skin care problems we all have.
