As a blogger, I get asked to review things lots. It’s rare now that I accept review items or indeed gifts, as for me it has to be something really special for me to want to write about it. I’ve recently been looking at eco, handmade and organic products because those are the ones that interest me, and I think my readers like to read about them too. I’ve something a little different again today. It piqued my interest because not only am I Mum to two girls but also I thought it was a unique idea and an item I’m sure others would like to know about.
My First Period Experience
I remember when my eldest daughter was coming up to the age she would be starting her period, well if I’m honest I think it was around 9 months before. We wanted to make sure she had everything she might need, including squirrelling some discreetly into her school bag. Stocking up on sanitary towels and buying a basket for them to live under the bathroom cabinet. We also spent alot of time chatting about what to expect and hygiene. It was a bit of a clumsy introduction but it worked I thought at the time.
Well here is where this new idea comes in. Gift Me Box £22.99 for me is such a good gift to give your tween. A tool to look at periods in more detail and something that I think could be kept in your home in the build-up to your daughters period starting. It comes in a strong keepsake cardboard box, perfect for storage of the sanitary pads. On the top of the box is a period tracker and some handy stickers are included to add to it or a diary. It’s tricky at first, as periods don’t tend to be very regular, but tracking is definitely a good habit to get into. I think for me once they are older and have a phone I would recommend a period tracker app.
Inside the box there’s a huge selection of sanitary pads of all different shapes and sizes. So important I think as it takes a while to figure out what works and what doesn’t. The variety included is nighttime and winged. One of each of the variety has a sticker on describing what style it is, very clever!
Content includes :
- 30x sanitary products (daytime pads with wings/without wings /organic/ night-time/ panty liners/some tampons)
- Luxury face mask
- Reusable mini hottie
- Soap bath roses
- Travel drawstring bag
- Period tracker
- Stickers
- Chocolates
- A keepsake box with magnetic closure.
If you are looking for something like this for your tween, then please do support this small business. I definitely recommend and support it.

Aww! What a lovely box.
I have a tween who is yet to start her periods but I feel like she’s close. Something like this would be fantastic for her. To make that first time a bit special and a little less scary x
