I wanted to check in with you all, and see how everyone is doing. In particular, the parents and guardians of children are doing at this extremely tricky time? I know not everyone is following a curriculum with their children and some of you will be sending you children to school. We decided early on that we would try to keep to somewhat of a routine and do the work that was being set by the teachers.

I’ve tried my hardest though not to stress about it. I’m a natural stressor though, it comes very easily. It’s personally been tricky for me to get my head around doing school work with my youngest, the eldest works independently. I know a lot of others have found it hard too. The first week we were all guns blazing, however in the second week of this crisis with learning from home we plateaued and the last couple of days before half term we mostly did creative things. After the two weeks off, boy was it hard to get both of the girls up and working…there were tears, mostly mine. So I think the thing I wanted to say was you can only do what you can do.
One thing that has been really helpful was the offer of some new pens from STABILO to aid us. In fact, I think we’ve used them every day. I divided them up between both of the girls. With the larger highlighters and brightly coloured gel pens being used by my 17-year-old, just perfect for revision. My 10-year-old has had so many creative projects so took colouring pens, highlighters and a fountain pen to improve her already amazing handwriting.
STABILO really are a brand that I trust when buying stationery of this kind, bright vibrant colours, pastels and neons with variations of products for different ages.
If you are looking for a little art inspiration then visit the STABILO blog. Huge thanks to STABILO for the pens, they were a very welcome treat!
