Last week, as Rock of Ages was released on DVD and Blu-ray. A group of bloggers were all given an opportunity to watch Rock of Ages, at the same time, whilst tweeting along with one another. It was such good fun, a real giggle to share the experience.
Born in the 70’s, the 80’s really is an era I remember. The music in the film was brilliant, left me feeling very nostalgic. It was a fun and feel good movie, great for a friday night in I think. I found myself either nodding my head, in a mild head banging motion, or using my blow up guitar and pretending I was in Tom Cruise’s band. I was good too, but that may have been the Jim Beam!
Tom Cruise was a real surprise in it, not a character I’ve ever seen him play. I think he pulled it off brilliantly. The story, is not complicated or involved, but to be honest it didn’t need to be. It was about the music, and they definitely won me over with the rock and roll romance combo.
If you easily scared of bad 80’s hair, please look away NOW!
Rock of Ages on DVD and Blu-ray now on Amazon, priced between £10 and £15.
Disclaimer: I was sent a Blu-ray disk, wig and blow-guitar. My review is honest, and I truly do look that bad!
