This is our first proper family holiday since we had Miss A, we thought about going abroad, but decided that we would wait until next year and have a break in the UK this summer. We decided on the south coast and once I saw the cottage that we rented I was hooked on Devon. The added bonus (and I admit it was a huge draw) was I would at last be able to meet the gorgeous @MsMollyLouise from the Molly and the princess blog, who I have been tweeting with for over a year now…it all started with a green tomato recipe I seem to remember 😉
Day One – First Impressions
We travelled down and we were met by the cottage owner, who showed us around. Once we had the place to ourselves I took a few photographs (unfortunately my batteries ran out so I don’t have many) but here goes:

Our kitchen and dining room, they set us up with a cream tea and home-made cake, it was gorgeous, and much-needed after the long car journey.
We are surrounded by fields, there is a pond and cows in next field, all owned by the cottage, so lots to explore.
We think this was where chickens were kept in one of the fields. If I lived here I would definitely have one of these…maybe one for the chickens and one for the girls 😉
