Just a short post, but wanted to share a few photographs with you.
I just love the morning time around Christmas, when the girls look at their advents together:
Miss A and Miss N have such fun doing it. They have a chocolate calendar from Tall Dad’s Mum and my Mum and Dad. We really don’t mind whether they have had their breakfast first or not, its only a tiny piece of chocolate!
As you can see the tree is up now too, much bigger than I thought it would be once we got it home, ain’t it always the case! We now are struggling to find space for the toys that were in the living room, so we’ve had to put them in the conservatory for the time being.
We love real trees, hope it last longer than the last two. They were twigs by Christmas day and the needles were brown after a week!
The girls helped me with the bottom branches, I had to resist the urge to rearrange!
I have some handmade decorations that are really precious that the girls have made, as well as a few I have made.
Tall Dad and I bought a Liberty one, when we went to London with some friends this year too, which I love!
We just need to get our heads around actually starting the Christmas present shopping now!
We also bought a potted Christmas tree for outside the front door, in memory of Tall Dads twin brother who passed away very recently. I will update the blog with a photograph of it lit up tonight.

In a very small way, this is a help to Tall Dad, at this very sad time. If you would like to know more please follow THIS link to the Just Giving site.

I always – I mean THE ELVES – always re-arrange a little bit once the small Christmas tree helpers have gone to bed! Tree looking suitably festive but am most jealous of your girls’ beautiful shiny hair!

Beautiful tree! Like you mine is a mix of ornaments old and new, bought and hommade and I love that! We all enjoy unwrapping them each year and remembering them, it’s fab!
