This is perhaps the easiest review I will ever do, as I can not think of any reason not to love Micro Scooters! There are quite simply the best scooters on the market in my opinion.
My eldest Miss N (9) has a Limited addition Maxi Micro:
Which she loves, and anyone who reads my twitter feed will know that I have been having a go on it when I’m on the school run! She saved up her pocket-money for a year to buy it and is incredibly proud of it. I have purchased some pink Union Jack Wheel Whizzers (£6.95) recently to update it, and they really look very cool!
If you visit the site, HERE you will see the fabulous new range of Union Jack Micro Scooters. What a fantastic idea with not only the Olympics coming up but the Queens Jubilee, the whole nation is feeling patriotic. They are available as Micro or Maxi scooters and have accessories like bags, water bottle and helmets.
Well we have been amazingly been offered a Micro Scooter for Miss A, a Mini Micro T-Bar scooter in pink (£49.95), and a Micro Sprite Scooter (£52.00) for me to review over the summer. This was just a fantastic offer. Great for Miss A, to help with her coordination and motor function. We also have an extremely long school run, which up until now, she has travelled in her pushchair. How fantastic that I can start to give her some independence. We may even be able to do it faster! Also brilliant for my challenge, to get out and about with girls as much as possible, and get fit!
When they arrived, they were extremely easy to but together, it took two minutes for each. I didn’t even need a screwdriver! They come well packaged, with safety information included.
Here is what Miss A thinks in her own words:
You will have noted Tall Dad, whizzing past on MY scooter, purely for the purposes of the video….he is not getting his hands on it, ’tis mine all mine!
This is on the day she first saw her Micro Scooter, I think you can see how pleased she is. I also purchased the mini bag in pink (£14.95), which was perfect for her favourite toy bunny. Or for some sweeties, and a picnic Miss A, has asked me to tell you. 😉
She picked up scooting so quickly. Within minutes she was dashing up and down, with speed. She has scooted before, on her sisters Maxi Micro, she is very tall for her age and she is fine on the Maxi. However now I have seen how agile she is on the Micro Scooter appropriate for her age, I definitely think it really makes a difference, going for the correct scooter as recommended by age on the site.
So the next day, we decided to have a racing scoot together outside .
I am amazed, how quickly we both have picked it up. I thought I might struggle with two wheels of the sprite, as it was new to me, but with only a little practice I got the hang of it. Now we are just waiting for the weather to improve again and we shall go out on a girls adventure together, so watch this space, for more Micro Scooter action!
Thank you for reading

We brought Mimi a Micro Scooter for Christmas and it is was money well spent. She loves it and we have to take it almost everywhere with us! I think it must have been the present of choice as there are loads of them (all the same!) at play-school. Maybe they should produce a personalised version.

I think you can ‘pimp’ them up so to speak. As there are lots of accessories that you can buy to make them look individual. Even letters, so you must be able to put their names on too! Which I think is a great idea!

Looks like great fun, can you all go to school together on them?? great for summer. If I had some flat pavements around I would be tempted to get one myself to ‘keep fit’ well have fun anyway!!

I think once Ava get a little better we can. Especially if they build a scooter/bike park at school. Which they have promised.
Great for summer, Miss A is out on it now she loves it!

Oh forgot to say.. love the little video clip, but as it was one all, and I think you cheated, I think it should have been best of three!!

Glad you enjoyed, we had fun making the video, I think I’m going to make more of them.

A 9 year old saving up her lunch money to buy something that she really wants instead of just asking one from his mom and dad is really impressive. This kid really knows how to work for something she really wants.
