Both Tall Dad and I come from families that had dogs whilst we were growing up. More so in my family, I can’t remember ever, not having a dog. We had small to medium-sized dogs, mostly terriers. My Dad even bred them for a short time, I must dig out some old photographs.
Well Miss A has definitely inherited this love of dogs. She is slightly obsessed with them in fact. I’ve mentioned before about the length of our school run, luckily it has parts which are used by dog walkers, so Miss A has never been bored. Strangely we have not even had one little furry friend together as a family, just one lowly goldfish. I can’t help but think we are depriving our girls in some way.
I would love to take the pet plunge, but Tall Dad is very reluctant. I do see his point as committing to a dog, does really tie you down, and we all know who’ll end up being the pooper scooper. So for the time being (but I am working on it) we are just going to have to take advantage of my Mum and Dads dog, the gorgeous Paddy.
Miss A loves Paddy, and he is so patient with her.
Last weekend was Miss N’s school fête, and Miss A had her whole face painted for the first time. I thought she would go for the usual butterfly or flowers, which she has had before. Well here she is :
Looking more like a cat here.
WOOF!
I’m trying to convince her next time to go for a lion….she’d really suit it don’t you think?
Note: We will not be purchasing a lion as a pet.
Thank you for reading

What a cutie! My daughter used to have curls like that – her hair straightened as she got older.

As its growing it seems tobe getting curlier and curlier. She probably still want to straighten it though, we always want what we haven’t got 😉
